"Pleasant, lovely peaceful surroundings. However, if I book in the future, I will be checking to see if there are any major functions booked first as there was nowhere to escape the noise & have a quiet drink before or after dinner."
Some restaurant staff seemed lacking in knowledge regarding terminology. Also, I would have expected to eat fish with fish cutlery, maybe that is considered "old fashioned" now.

The view of the grounds from the room, also to be able to open the windows, which you cannot do in a lot of hotels nowadays.
