"There is nothing i can add which isnt in the above comments. All aspects were excellent, including adequate parking if your taking your vehicle."

The hotel was excellently presented outside and was even better inside, the staff were polite and friendly and made us feel like old friends. The food breakfast we had during our stay was of the highest quality also. It was a excellent stay in a superb hotel. I would definately recommend the property to all my friends and family, we will definately return.

If im being picky, the shower door could of had been a tighter fit. But generally it was all very good indeed.

It was within easy walking distance of both the train station and the major attractions of the city. A good choice of breakfasts was offered, well cooked and served in a pleasant dining room. The room was spotless, comfortable and well supplied with hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities and toiletries in the bathroom."

Friendly staff and welcome. Excellent breakfast. Room very clean, comfortable and inviting.

"For most people who are fairly active distance would not be a problem - for someone with a minor injury like me it meant taxis to and from all. Offset by good and friendly service and a quality breakfast. Spa bath was a plus. Clean, bright and cheerful amenities."

    Host very helpful and friendly

Not central enough to tourist sights we wanted to visit.

"Thoroughly recommend this bed and breakfast: real local hospitality in a beautiful city: slightly out of town but that actually helped as it added to the peacefulness. Excellent for a couple looking for a quiet location and a friendly welcome. Sensitive to dietary requirements too."

The hotel location, while not in the city centre, was located quite near. Short walks to the city about 15 minutes made the stay all the more enjoyable, allowing us appreciate the surrounding area."

"The room we had felt quite small but was perfectly adequate. Top notch for cleanlimess and comfort. Owners were very welcoming and kind."

Very clean; people very friendly and helpful; huge breakfast.

Room was fine except that there was a sharp corner of a bedside table which projected into the doorway of the bathroom and which we caught our legs on a couple of times.

"The only part of the stay which we would have liked to change, was the location. Although quiet, it seemed a good way from the main part of York, and it was difficult to use our own transport into the city."

We wanted to visit York, and I think we found the ideal accommodation. It was clean, friendly and we felt comfortable staying there.

I don't think it could improve.

"This was a last minute booking due to an unexpected opening in our travel itinerary. Thank goodness for the internet and the speed with which I could find a hotel and book it prior to our departure. The hotel is just lovely, however, had I realized how small the room was for me and my 6 ft. plus sized son, I would have asked for a larger room. We felt lucky, though, to have found such a nice place mere hours before we left on our trip. I definitely would recommenda and stay here again, just ask for a large room on a higher floor."

Charming hotel with attentive owners and very clean rooms. The breakfast was very generous and delicious.

We were awoken early by workers next door roofing the adjacent home. Even though it could not be avoided, sleep was no longer n option once they began, as our bedroom window was mere feet from where they were working.

It felt very homely, with a great friendly atmosphere, plus we liked the more personal service given by an independant Hotel as opposed to a mulpiple chain.
