"The rooms are very modern and have everything you might need"

    The bed was very comfortable.

The temp. control for the taps and shower were not very efficient. The breakfast was very poor. Eggs hard, fried bread rubbery and none of it very hot.

"a very nice hotel in a lovely setting, hopefully staffing problem on morning after our stay was a one-off"

Pleasant surroundings, modern building with good facilities, excellent leisure facilities

a staff shortage on the morning after our stay badly affected service at breakfast and caused queues to check out

Value - usually pay more for a hotel of this standard. Excellent leisure facilities. Good standard of room. Cute and sometimes telepathic waiters.

Felt like a members' club - which it is. Good food, but slightly overpriced. Service in the restaurant slightly lacking.

1 No bottled water in room. 2 Upon booking in we found the room had faulty toilet which was constantly running water - very loud. Staff could not move us at the time as they had no access to computer which meant that we had to move room at 11.30pm having got back from party which was an inconvenience.

"Well located for our needs even if we did get lost in the local lanes. Freindly staff & excelent evening meal in resteraunt"

Excellent standard as you'd expect from GW & a golf-resort type hotel. Pleasant views out across the golf-course & local countryside

Lack of an earlier breakfast option, a pre-prepared continetal breakfast would have surficed. Had I paid "top dollar" I would certainly have complained but had we free meals available later at event we were attending

Friendly staff. Pleasant location. Breakfast was very good. Swimming pool a plus.

Restaurant unavailable until after 8pm due to Golfing parties. Too late for us to eat, so we went out for dinner.

Clean & comfortable - apart from the dead spider on the curtain rail! Gluten free food was available - very nice bread! The food was generally very good. Free use of pool was also good.

"OK but have stayed in much better 3 star hotels with Best Western"

Polite staff and plenty of towels!

Breakfast plentiful BUT swimming in grease-coffee cold and very weak. Bedroom window very draughty with wind blasting in.

    "Very good, would reccomend"

Lovely views, helpful staff, good facilicies pool, steam room sauna and hot tub and the breakfast was great

To use the gym costs an extra £5pp per day and the gym is quite out of date. We paid the extra but then wished we hadnt and knowing we had spent £10 on passes that were not worth it annoyed us and spoilt the stay. Gym should be free for guests

"Overall a pleasant quiet place to stay."

All facilities contained in one building, with limited use of the sports facilities.

Breakfast can be slow if there are a number of guests as there is only one waiter/waitress. Magnetic key to door needed resetting everyday as they are 'susceptable' to being erased by mobile phone. First time this has happened to me in over 10 years of staying in hotels, and 10 stays in this hotel. At best this is an inconvienance, at worst a struggle when you are on the top floor and have to return to reception carrying all your bags back down.

"It would seem a good idea when two people have booked a room, that you have two lots of towels so you do not have to ask for extra, we took with us when we chnaged rooms the towels that where still dry."

The hotel was very clean and the staff helpful and friendly

First room we had a leak in the wash basin my husband sustained wet feet and we used the towels to mop up the floor. We where moved to a new room. Unfortunately we had asked for an early morning call, which did not get transferred when we moved rooms. Although not late for our next appointment it was a bit rushed.

Should have had two large towels in room instead of one. This was, however, rectified on my request. Internet passwords were not given to us on arrival. We had to subsequently ask.

    facilities excellent

whole stay was marred by thr food. was only given menu with choice of two dished for each course. I had lasagne which was ok but unfortunately I was quite poorly in the night and spent most of the night in the bathroom! Consequently didn't try breakfast!

    Swimming pool very good

The bed was comfortable which is hard to find in a Hotel Room. Lovely hot shower and clean bathroom. The pool was nice and the Spa facilities. The only dissapointing thing was that the Jacuzzi was not working as it was a one night stay we didnt get to use this. Loved the location.

Nothing, all was good. Disapointed in the Jacuzzi not working.
