The welcome was good and the room was lovely and you're in a fab location.
I was disappointed in the quality of the food, it wasn't terrible but pretty poor and lets the hotel down. I booked online with my electron card but didn't find out till the morning checkout that the money hadn't been debited and you didn't take electron, despite informing reception when I checked in that I needed an early morning express check out. This was a bit inconvenient and made me late for my appointment.

Staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel bar was excellent and reasonably priced. In particular, the lady who checked me in and the bar staff were great.

"The lobby look very posh, location is fantastic, within a walking distance to town centre, and just a few minutes away from cinema. The room was a little bit small, but still nice for a couple. The Bathroom was sparkling clean, the Breakfast in bed was absolutely amazing. The In Room Dining was excellent too. We both very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely return !!!! Really worth the Money."

The hotel was very comfortable and elegant and we liked the sense of history. The staff were lovely, helpful, polite and friendly. We loved the bathroom, and were immensely entertained by observing a Manchester Saturday night from the windows of the bar!
Our stay coincided with a high school ball. We were awoken at 3am by teenagers being silly on the corridor. A phone call to reception sorted it satisfactorily, and we were pleased to be given one free breakfast in apology for the disturbance.

Check in was very good and first impression of the hotel was good and clean. Room was very nice and clean.
Spoilt by the poor restaurant service. Our evening meal was over an hour being served because somebody forgot to put our order through. When we did eventually receive our meals, my wife's meal was completely wrong. At breakfast, a man directed us to a table with only on chair and just left us standing there. We had to ask somebody else to get us a chair and then find out about breakfast and where everything was ourselves. Very poor.

Beautiful hotel
Disappointed that other than room service no restaurant was available before the Bruce Springsteen concert. I gather several guests had booked for this event; had thought the hotel would be proactive and have a restaurant open before the concert - disappointed in their lack of foresight.

The most annoying thing is that using your hotel search facility one of my requirements was to have a smoking room. I assumed that the hotels and rooms returned were smoking rooms. The hotel confirmation seemed to bear this out when it stated that a non-smoking room could not be guaranteed at check-in. I was therefore very annoyed at when at check-in to be informed that the hotel was entirely non-smoking. So I won't be using this hotel again and although I book hotels fairly frequently online, I will not be using this service again, either.

Easy to find following hotel online directions. Clean room. Good dining room - breakfast excellent.
Room decor drab and uninviting - towels clean but very 'used' - not white and soft! No feeling of luxury in room as expected of 5 star accommodation. It was clinical and functional.

The shower overflowed, drain needed un-blocking, also we had a mug missing from our room and had to phone for one to be brought up but that was it, a good hotel.
