new clean hotel central location

I paid for bed and breakfast when i made the booking. It did not show as breakfast on the hotel computer so some of our group were turned away. I had to show my booking confirmation to prove that we had paid for breakfast but some of our party had already left and checked out without getting their breakfast which was paid for.

good size of bathroom and good able to book triple room as not many places offer. Breakfast good price at £7.50 rather than £10

given incorrect rooms to start with, guests smoking in rooms and corridors on our corridor and no alerts to thiswas on more than one occassion Showers luke warm in both of our rooms

At booking stage, an obvious map of where the carpark actually was would have been handy

No parking possible at the hotel. The Active Hotels web site states under the General Information that there is parking. It is not until you scroll down to the information underneath that the parking is actually only public parking - which is about 10 minutes walk away. Very misleading.

Convenient for city centre,spectacular views from 6th floor room,friendly efficient staff ; good facilities.

Poorly sign posted on the exterior of the hotel ie.on sides of building and therefore difficult to find even when almost on top of the hotel.It would only take an unobtrusive sign or two at groud level to rectify this. Security seemed rather easy going.ie it appeared one could enter and leave the building virtually unnoticed.However it might be that some people would see this freedom and anonymity as a bonus!

Good rate for a good quality hotel on a popular night.

I changed my booking details within 24 hrs of arrival date - so I tried to change them at 11am of the morning of my stay, directly with hotel reception. In spite of Active Hotel's email instructions, which I presented to the hotel staff, I had to call Active Hotels first to change the booking and NOT do it through the hotel directly. Fortunately I had spare time to resolve this - on other occasions I may not have been so lucky!

The electric in the room kept switching off, even though we had the card in. Was annoying when trying to get ready...

shown three rooms.one guy in one of the rooms already. one was a smoking room. The third was the coldest room i have ever stayed in. One of the coldets nights in Leeds also 19TH FEB 08

Good location

Extremely noisy with lots of single sex groups, e.g hen parties etc. which kept us awake on both nights we stayed there. Poor noise insulation meant we heard the tv from the next room late at night too. We had booked a room for 4 with a sofabed for two children but the reception staff advised us the children would be more comfortable with a single bed for the children to share. We took this as there was only a sofabed room on the 8th floor and it was a smoking room. Needless to say, the bed was not big enough for the children and they were uncomfortable.
