    Price & location.

Bathroom smelly, shower very old and not powerful. Room directly overlooked railway lines therefore view and noise not very good. Dirty towels which had to be exchanged.

"Overall I was satisfied with the hotel & our stay."

    Location & generally helpful staff.

When we arrived back at the hotel after our concert, we were told that there was only supposed to be 2 guests in the room but I had e-mailed the hotel prior to arrival to inform them that we were having 3 in the room. We also checked in with 3 guests. The night manager had to be called to sort out the mix-up.

"It was ok. I would stay again as the location was very central, but I think the hotel could have done more to control the party guests from disturbing everyone else."

Large hotel, modern facilities, bar and restaurant, pretty clean

Restaurant booked out for private Christmas parties on both nights of our stay. Party guests were very noisy. We had several people banging on our door until 5am in the morning.

"because of parking and being charged 2 days when car was only there 1 day. I wounldnt use hotel again. "

thought hotel was very clean looking. Nice when entering. Well laid out.

when we checked in girl wasn't very helpful. Wasn't made clear about parking arrangements so when we returned to car. We were charged another full day because we were 6 minutes over our time. That resulted in us being very disappointed in the whole stay.

"Apart from the couple of niggles I have mentioned, it was an enjoyable stay as we overlooked the River Clyde from our room and could walk almost everywhere we wanted."

Jurys is situated in an ideal place for everything in Glasgow. Walking distance to shopping centres, and also train and subway stations.

As a Scot, I was bitterly disappointed that the breakfast had no Scottish bread available, the only bread was toast. It would have been lovely to have a choice of plain bread and rolls. The walls between rooms are very thin, and we had a couple of nights where sleep was not possible due to noisey neighbours. Personally I would prefer to have little bottles of toiletries rather than dispensers on the walls. Don't like the idea of using dispensers that previous occupants have used.

"Visitor than the above negatives the place was great. It was particularly clean and the room service on each floor was great - lots of polite people."

The hotel was great. Friendly staff and great central location in downtown Glasgow. Lots of nice pubs nearby.

Expensive internet - these days such services should come included or at least at nominal cost. Seems strange that we could wander 50 metre up the street and use the FREE service in McDonalds or a local pub?? Our room was very small - though I suspect this is an English/European problem rather than specific to this particular hotel.

"The rooms were excellent, clean with full facilities Air-con was necessary as on the side of the hotel we were on we overlooked the central station. which was busy. thre was additional tripal glazing to kill the train noises. So air-con was absolutely necessary. Kept well and staff very good. Close to city centre shops etc. Overlooking the Clyde. Excellent value. This was for my self and wife, and the room had a full size double and full size single room so three adults will be totally comfortabile in this room."

The location was excellent and close to the city Centre

It was very very close to the Central train station.

    Very clean

Very thin walls/ceilings/floors- was woken in the night by someone in a nearby room dropping something.

Clean hotel and friendly desk staff

Room next to railway line Stayed at the hotel because we were attending concert. Was told at check-in that the hotel were offerring a special supper deal for concert goers after the concert. Upon return found that supper deal wasn't available and bar service was abysmal.

"Pleasant stay and had a good time whilst in the city. Hotel staff on both occasions i have stayed have been pleasant &helpful"

I recently stayed in the hotel &when going to Glasgow with work choose it as a preference as it is close to the city centre. My work collegue said that he would use it again when stayin in Glasgow.

I had booked a double room with fold out sofa, but when we arrived it only had a double bed. Turned out ok, as we had had a few drinks upon arrival. Tried reception but there was no answer, we were happy enough just to leave it as it was.

friendly staff, very clean, we had a good view, ice machine at end of corridor, had a great stay

"The hotel itself cannot be faulted, the room was great for the bargain price we paid and the staff were friendly and helpful. The city centre and Argyle street are right on your doorstep. One real bonus was an ice machine on every landing, ideal for a few drinks in your room before hitting the town! There were quite a few hen and stag nights and football stopovers in the hotel, but it was not overly noisy even though it was very busy. If you don't fancy breakfast in the hotel I would recommend the Crystal Palace, the pub along the street. Will definitely stay again."

The room was bright and clean, we overlooked central station but were not bothered at all by any transport noise, it was barely noticeable. Room and bathroom of generous proportions, scrupulously clean.

Had we paid full price for the room, I would have expected more space and a better aspect for my money, but I can't complain! Car parking across the road was a wee bit tricky to find if you aren't used to driving in Glasgow, but you get a very discounted rate.

"although I now know, but you are not informed that there is a multi storey car park just one street along as there is no parking on-site. If you give your parking ticket to reception in the morning ,the fee is only £5.00 alot cheaper than the going rate. This info needs to be given prior to arrival as the streets are all one way. even if they gave the post code for the car park st then people wouldn't get lost."

been there many times, 2 minutes walk to the centre

    expensive bar!

"It is difficult to locate the hotel, even with sat nav due to one way system. The car park is that close to the hotel it is not worth dropping luggage off before parking."

Excellent room and facilities. Excellent reception staff

The doorman trying to prevent admission late at night with the very poor attitude to customers.

"The hotel was only a 5minute walk from central station and a 10minute walk from queen street station. Was very easy to find. Taxi would have been pointless if coming from station. We were staying as at a concert in the SECC.. taxi was only £1.40 over the starting fare however if up for a walk was about 20minutes..in heels.. the room was very nice and the view we had of the clyde was fantastic. Were on the 10th floor so had a great view.. only downside was that a hostel was across from us and cud see into every window.. making us think they wud see into ours.. the breakfast was ok.. wud recommend gettin the voucher as alot cheaper..not included in price of room cheak in and out was very smooth.. would deff recommend this hotel to others.."

We liked the room.. was basic but very nice for what we had planned, only to sleep. service from staff was great. was new woman on reception and was very helpful and great at job for only being there a week. the view we had of the water from the room. was fantastic.

The food was not to my taste. It was ok but not what we were looking for. breakfast was included in the price
