"Good but spoiled due to the noise."
Spacious rooms and very good breakfasts.
Very noisey in room from other guests above and outside in the corridor. Strugled to get to sleep from noisey water tank which seemed to be filling all night.

"i loved the hotel and my stay but it would have beedn better if hotel guests could have access to the park free of charge with the option to buy a wristband. would also be better if hotel guests had a enterance to the park that was closer to the hotel. would make it it bit more special."
braekfast was great. staff were lovely. we were given a free upgrade on arrival which was great.spottlessly clean.
having no direct access from the hotel to the park!

"Generally overall stay was ok. Didnt like the long walks but wasnt in the room long enough to notice how small it was for a family of 4. Staff were frindly and pleasant. Below it asks if i would stay here again. I have ticked yes...but dont think i would stay with the family again. As a couple or single visitor im sure it would be fine."
Staff were friendly, room was clean and tidied every day. View of pleasure beach was excellent. Breakfast was also very good. Super king size bed could have slept 6..lol
Window in room didnt close properly. Room was smaller than expected. Was very expensive for size of room and date and length of stay. £450 for 4 nights out of season is a little overpriced. Is also a good distance from everything. Even the pleasure beach wich the hotel overlooks is still a 15 - 20 min walk from the hotel. Main shopping centre is a good 45 min walk from hotel. Start of March and everything was still closed, piers closed at between 5 and 6pm depending on how many punters. Hotel food very expensive. £5.50 for a ham sarnie, and £5.00 to deliver it to your room. Plastic can take a big hit if hungry in the evenings..lol

"Overall would definately stay again, the hotel is in a great location and very well looked after - the best hotel in blackpool by far!"
Room was very good and the view of pleasure beach was fantastic. Breakfast was one of the best we have had in a hotel.
The staff could have been a bit more helpful, overall they were great but we found that sometimes they were a bit dismissive.

"We enjoyed our visit to the The Big Blue hotel but would probably not book again as we found Blackpool a bit run down so would probably choose to spend our money elsewhere on future trips although we don't tend to go to the same place twice anyway unless its a major city attraction."
The hotel was spotless and the staff were friendly and helpful and the service was excellent.
The only comment I would make was regarding the main entrance. The hotel was non-smoking which is excellent but the kock on effect is that all the smokers both staff and holiday makers congreated in the front entrance so the first impression we got of the hotel was the entrance clogged with smokers and more or less everytime we came in or out of the hotel we had to run the gauntlet of people smoking in the entrance. At my own company we have smoking facilities that are at the side and rear of the building as it gives a bad impression to our customers when they arrive and have to walk past smokers and walk through cigrareete stubs littering the entrance floor. That is the only negative comment I would make.

"All in all we were well satisfied with the whole weekend stay, and looking around Blackpool in general, we feel sure we picked the best hotel Blackpool had to offer."
All aspects of the hotel were of a high standard. The rooms were of a good size and very clean. All fittings and fixtures were of good quality and worked, which nowadays is a plus point.
Bar and restaurant prices seemed to be on the high side and the choice of dishes for dinner somewhat limited. This may be reflected in the poor number of dinners on the Sunday night. This said the food quality was first class.

"Every member of staff at The Big Blue Hotel made us feel welcome throughout our stay; we could not have asked for better customer service. We were automatically upgraded to a suite when we checked in which we appreciated enormously. The accommodation and facilities were first rate and we were also very impressed with the buffet breakfast service and the Blues Brasserie where we enjoyed lunch one day during our stay. The only room for improvement the Big Blue Hotel could make is to expand its gym facilities and / or install an indoor swimming pool in line with its competitors."
The contemporary classic design with excellent layout. No expense has been spared with regards to furnishings and fittings. Bathroom was particularly impressive with powerful power shower, heated towel rail and water economy conscious toilet.
No chest of drawers / large enough bedside table in room to store underwear etc.

"this was our 2nd time staying at this hotel, this time around it was more expensive £95 per night for room and although we had problems with noise i can't fault the actual hotel staff or accomodation, the breakfast choice is excellent and even at busy times during the bank holiday weekend there was always sufficient friendly staffing levels. the hotel is great value if you have a family but as 2 adults staying it did work at almost £300 for 3 nights"
Clean and adequate to needs
parking was resitrictive at times within hotel car park, and worst of all is the noise of other residents above us, walking around on there heels very annoying but seemed to be going on permantly whilst trying to sleep, complained to reception and general manager did have a word with them but it still was persistant

the position, large carpark. value for money
poor quality fruit juice at breakfast, shame though!! as breakfast was superb.

Overall a very enjoyable stay at the Big Blue Hotel. Staff were friendly, polite and professional. Good food, room very clean with more than adequate facilities for a break. I will be booking this hotel again and will recommend it to friends and family.
