"Our stay at the Spires was excellent. Very central with all ameneties within walking distance. As we arrived on Saturday afternoon we found it difficult to check in as there is no main reception. We relied on someone exiting the building to enable us to get in and then we were fortunate that a member of your staff had called in to see to something and he assisted us to get the key for our apartment. The only other disappointment was that there was quite a lot of noise coming from an apartment below who were lucky enough to have a patio area. They had a party on Saturday night which went on until five in the morning and they were also sat out on Sunday night. Because of the warm weather they were all sat outside."
We were all able to be together. We could sit and relax and chat rather than having to be in seperate hotel rooms.

"Overall a great place to stay, recommend it to people with children... Much easier settling the kids in a bedroom, than trying to settle them in one room with everyone else..."
Modern, well maintained... Great location....
Very noisy with the windows open... Apartment was very warm, so a catch 22, open the windows to stay cool and put up with the noise, or bake with the windows closed... A/C would be a great addition...

"The place lived up to my expectations. This is the first time I have stayed in serviced accomodation of this sort. I have always felt that paying for hotels was a waste of money because I did not need any of their fcilities. Here I payed much the same, but had far more extensive accomodation, which was of excellent quality. With shops only a hundred yards away, it was easy to buy food for breakfast and snacks. While reception was open only 9-5, the instructions for getting in out of hours were very clear."
clean, comfortable. Staff friendly and flexible

"If you want somewhere very nice and central to stay in Glasgow then this is the place to be."
The accomodation was very good

"You REALLY NEED to check your confirmation email from The Spires before attempting to check in - otherwise its a little complicated. Situated DIRECTLY opposite the Holiday Inn, the front door is to the right of Habitat via intercom, otherwise check-in is to the rear on St. Vincent STREET as opposed to the first lane behind the building...this is part of a secured apartment complex."
Good sized apartment - excellent tv cable selection - great sized bed & pillows - you really couldn't fault this place. I'll be returning! And of course, extreamly helpful staff!
Perhaps a more detailed manual on how to use the oven. An extra mirror for shaving. Everything was in excellent working order.

"We would have liked information about the check in procedure prior to arrival other than that our stay was made enjoyable by the quality of the accomodation and the freedom it gave us."
Location was good, apartment was well appointed and clean. Good info provided about apartment and Glasgow in general.
Customer service. We didnt get ANY information prior to arrival and with nobody on duty on Saturday it took quite a few phone calls to get any help to get the keys for the apartment.

"This appartment/hotel is well located with easy access to the M8 link road, very handy for the airport bus which stops outside, knowing that it is opposite the Holiday Inn would have been useful, as Bothwell St. is quite long it would have been nice to have had a a landmark for a taxi or the bus etc. to drop off. Electronic doors and lifts work well and the accomodation is very good, if you like to cook there are M & S and Sainsburys food stores within 150 yards, plenty of places to eat and drink out if you prefer within a short walk also."
Accomodation is spacious compared to a standard hotel room, with a good size kitchen complete with all modern appliances, overall well presented and very comfortable, rooms within the apartment were accessed from an internal corridor and were therefore isolated from the main corridor and any noise from it.
Arrival out of hours was not well catered for, had difficulty accessing the building, front doors electronically locked, no advise with booking of how to enter, had to make contact by phone while standing in the street, and then accessing the rear door up the very steep side street Douglas Street.

"After 6 years coming to Glasgow we just wish this had been here all along rather than using costly and unremarkable hotels all this time. But our reason for coming to Glasgow our daughter is now switching to London so we won't be back, but no reflection on Spires. Open one near St John's Wood and we'll be regular customers."
Space, facilities and quality. our form insists that we complete the field on performance of staff. As we arrived on Saturday and left on Sunday we didn't see any so can't judge, but everything inside was fine so performance must have been good.
Directions on which floor is the way in out; the lift doesn't signify which one this is nor do notices on the wall. Better instructions on how to get tv working. With so much kit and 3 remotes all I could get was Scottish cup final.

"A great place to stay at a great price, really couldn't fault it. The staff particularly Stephen the Accomodation Manager were fantastic, will be recommending to all who are visiting the city & the company I work for who are based in Glasgow."
The only thing as a group of girls was the lack of coathangers! But that will be down to how much clothing we took.
