"Things could improve. presently not the value for money."

    Accessibility. Excellent staff.

Smelly carpet. Should change to laminate flooring which is easier clean.Room decor was dated. Fluorescent lights bring more vibrance to room.

"Very pleasant stay, no hassle, friendly staff."

Overall Everything was excellent! Room was very clean, bed made every day, towels changed daily. We were given free parking,I appreciated this as hotel is not cheap, even though it was only Stg15.00

The Only bad point was that bathroom floor was not cleaned.Would have appreciated face cloths with towels.

"Generally satisfactory. Charging £13 for breakfast struck me as something of a rip-off particularly in the centre of Glasgow, where there are a range of options within a short distance. "

Friendly efficient staff. Clean and tidy. Straightforward booking and check in/out process.

The room was too warm and poorly ventilated. Opening the window merely led to the disturbance of sleep by the noise of air conditioning or similar plant at rear of hotel.

"With on site parking and the close proximity to town centre, made the short stay an enjoyable break, from our long journey."

    Room, Pool, Central Position, Parking

Prices at the bar. Pool was cool. Not enough tea, coffee or milk in the room? only managed one cup each.

"Enjoyable! Not too bad value for money though I have had better rooms with more facilities for less cash."

Room was large, furniture and bed really nice, very comfy. Staff were very friendly and efficient.

Lack of toiletries and coffee making material. There was only one shower gel and it had been used! Also only one toilet roll. There was also only 1 milk sachet. Obviously if we had asked for more we would have got them but it was pretty poor.

"Close to shopping centres and train station, staff at reception not much well-trained, services are not much prompt as compared with other worldwide based hotel chains."

Discount price of room rate, suit our budget!

Relatively poor quality of breakfast in terms of choices, freshness and tastes as compared with the other leading 4 stars hotel.

    "I'd stay again."

Refurbished rooms are very nice. Gym is small but has all the machines I use. Pool looks good. Staff efficient.

Un-refurbuished rooms very tired indeed. Pool was closed during my stay and was not told at time of booking or at check-in. Was on a lower floor on latest visit - this was much noisier than previous visits when I was on a higher floor.

"Not too impressed. The catering needs to be a reviewed as a matter of urgency. "

    Reception staff on arrival

Reception staff on departure. Had to wait in line because only one receptionist on duty. Breakfast which was NOT value for money. Everything was lukewarm and of mediocre quality certainly not worth £12.95 per person. We took breakfast in Macdonalds onb the second morning. Our first room was in a poor state of decoration and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We had to upgrade to a newly refurbished room at additional cost.

"This hotel is not a four star hotel as advertised, i would rate it 2.5 stars."

Staff were friendly and residents bar stayed open late. Leisure centre next morn was quiet enjoyable.

Swipe cards wouldnt work on doors, rooms were tiny, delph left lying on corridors for hours and hotel area is not very safe after dark because of two clubs next door.

    closness to the city centre

no heating in room, we reported this twice but no action was taken even though we were told some one would come and look at it.

    "Worth recommending..."

I had a Heart Attack while in your hotel during the early hours - your staff dealt with it in an exemplary manner... their reassurance and support was excellent - they dealt with my property etc without problem or complaint and I am pleased to have been in your hotle and in Glasgow during this trying and very frightening experience - please pass on my sincere thanks to your staff in particular the night duty manager on the night of 8th October 2008.

apart from my illness there were none...

"Excellent. I would recommend this hotel to any potential visitor to Glasgow."

Great room; friendly and helpful staff; good facilities; location slightly away from the main city centre suited us fine.

Only the fire alarm but that was not the hotel's fault. I understand it was a smoker in room 131.

    "Good "

All room facilities good. Good size comfortable rooms

In need of decoration . Black stains on the ceiling above lights Asked for a quiet twin room but the only rooms on the upper floors were ones with double beds so we had to put up with the generator noise on the 2nd floor

"OK as a place to sleep, but a bit expensive"

Nice chair and footstool in room, though one each would have been nice! Lovely helpful staff. On-site parking good

No hot water. Noisy - I could hear disco below. Directions to hotel car-park not so good

"The stay was plesent enough would use again however would not recommend the hotel due to the condition of the decor"

The central location of the hotel the size of the room was very good

The decor and overall condition was in need of improvement the wooden furnishings in the room were scrached/worn. The main hallways to the rooms are tired wallpaper peeling and need of upgrading.

"1 We asked for a twin room and received confirmation that a twin room had been reserved however when we arrived we were told a double room had been allocated to us. As my sister had just had an operation on her knee sharing a bed just wasn't an option. That is the brickbat now for the bouquet.....the young lady on reception very quickly rectified the situation by having another single bed taken to the room and arranged for us to have a complimentary glass of wine each with dinner. Our waiter, at dinner and breakfast, was friendly, efficient and informative - a real asset to the hotel. 2 First impressions matter- we nearly decided to cancel our booking and go elsewhere when we saw the car park. Such was the contrast when we got out of the lift into the foyer we quickly changed our minds about leaving I believe the car park is next on the list to be smartened up. Despite the aforementioned we will certainly make this our first choice of hotel when visiting Glasgow. To sum up - food and service wonderful, clean accommodation and ideally situated for shopping and sightseeing. Mistakes happen, the fact that it was rectified efficiently and pleasantly meant that it was quickly forgiven."

Very clean and ideally situated for shopping and sightseeing

Stained upholstery on seat of armchair which meant we just didn't want to sit and relax on it. Outlook ghastly but realistically we wouldn't expect a nice view in a city centre hotel.

The hotel was very central. The room was of a good size with all the facilities you could wish for. I particularly chose it for the swimming pool and central location. It was good value. The tarrif was room only. I do not eat breakfast so this suited me.

The shower was cold in the evening.
