Happy, courteous and efficient staff. Efficiently designed room. Ample parking. Our corner room was well ventilated and cool in a very hot week.

"We had a lovely stay. The staff were always courteous and helpful. They also assisted with local info. Our stay was all we were hoping it to be and we would like to go back in warm weather to use the pool. I would highly recommend this hotel."

This hotel did surpass my expectations. I have paid a higher price with less facilities. Room was comfortable and clean and the staff were all very good at their job. Our meal at the restaurant was first class by any standards. A lovely stay.

No bad points as far as I and my friend were concerned.

"I realized, that I overpaid for my holiday, because I wanted the swimming pool and Internet access and as I couldn't use any of these, I feel disappointed. "

as a single traveler, they gave me for my stay double room with comfy bed

-nobody told me, that for breakfast I need to make my toast -I choose the hotel, because had a free wi fi and I took my laptop, but I didn't find nobody to explain to me, how it will works on my PC, when I tried to connect in the hotel -outdoor swimming pool looked as a decoration, I wouldn't use it, as it was in the open area, where could see you, you don't have a privacy and it was full of leafs

"The staff on both occasions were very efficient and friendly and the food was excellent."

This is the second time we have stayed with you, this room was excellent, a good size bed and no creaky floorboards and a nice sunny room.

The first room we stayed in was much smaller, the bed made you roll into the middle of the mattress and the floor creaked at every move.

"Studied many hotels on the internet, and this hotel stood out in reviews from previous clients. We are only too pleased to add our excellent reports."

What drew us to this hotel, was the very good reports on-line from previous clients. We found the hotel excellent in their staff, room cleanliness and first class breakfast. Excellent restaurant for evening meals. A special mention to Ann and Michael in reception, who were most helpful in questions surrounding the hotel and giving directions away from the hotel. Would highly recommend this hotel, and looking forward to our next visit.

    Nothing to dislike.

"A very pleasant overnight stay, within easy walking distance of the sea and the centre of Bourmouth. Then a short car journey to Poole Quay and Sandbanks, an ideal Hotel for a base to tour the area around."

The welcome on arrival and staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The rooms were very well equipt, very clean and well decorated. The food offered was to a good standard.

"We booked this hotel which was a little bit more expensive than others on West Cliff with vacancies thinking that we would get a little more for our money. We were a little disappointed in some ways. The squeaking floorboards in our bedroom were very irritating and I ended up having a cold shower most mornings when others were running their showers. It would have been nice to have had a greater choice of friut for breakfast. However, on the positive side,we had a very good meal in the restaurant and the staff were very pleasant and obliging. We can say that overall our stay was enjoyable."

    Central position

"I think that more could be made of the refurbishment assuming that this is hotel wide, the delightful outdoor heated swimming pool and splendid dinner menu in the restaurant."

Refurbished room, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Restaurant on hotel premises is excellent award winning chef, I believe

Smell from kitchen seemed to seep through bathroom air vent.

    location was good for bournemouth

the mattresses on the beds were awful...needed replacing as they had a big dip in them...gave both of us a bad back.

"We found the staff to be most helpful & friendly. Our room was quite small but adequate. The meals and service were excellent."

The staff were courteous & helpful. The hotel was very clean.

The shower was poor. It lacked pressure and fell apart when I tried to adjust the height. There was a shortage of drawer space in our room, but as we were only staying for a few days it was not important.

"We had stayed at the Montague before so we knew what to expect. It is a small hotel which offers a good service. The staff are polite and helpful - although I don't feel they would recognise us if I booked there again. The Montague fulfilled what we needed with no frills and nothing to complain about. These days that's not a bad record. We have stayed elsewhere in Bournemouth and this is the best for the price that we have found."

The bed was bed it has a good bar and lounge. It's clean and within walking distance of the sea/town centre.

There was no decaffeinated coffee in the dining room - just decaf instant. There were only four TV channels and no radio.
