"Very enjoyable, good choice of hotel, will return if the opportunity arises and would recommend the hotel to friends and family"

"Very good. Would recommend hotel, but get to breakfast early!"
Lovely welcome, great room - clean and comfortable, good facilities
Overlaid and nearly missed breakfast - then felt a little rushed by the breakfast staff

"The staff is still nice , friendly & efficient but the hotel seems to feel the credit crunch a bit to much. There is a closing down feeling. Breakfast is not what it used to be. The room felt dirty & was cold all night. Would be nice to heat up rooms before guests arrive. Avoid rooms with views on the local pub as it will destroy your sleep. Double glazing would help?"
great location/friendly staff
Very noisy room due to people smoking outside the pub. Bathroom looked very faded & very used broken panels, shower falling appart, hair in curtains. Where were the fantastic pastries we used to have for breakfast? Stationery in my room had stains.

"great experience"
Nice room, friendly staff, great location.
Self-service breakfast area/dining room seemed a bit disorganised.

"Great hotel in a great city and will stay there again next time I am in Nottingham, which is usually at least once a year."
Very friendly staff. Quick booking in and out process.
Rooms could do with a bit of updating. Fine for one night or two nights, but wouldn't like it for more than 2, or 3 at a stretch. Poor selection of TV channels considering the digital switchover is soon to take place. No fridge in room.

The room was spacious with a medium sized but comfortable bed. The inclusive breakfast was very good.
The lack of air conditioning was my only complaint about my stay. The night i stayed at the Rutland was quite warm and there was no air movement in the room at all.

"Nice hotel. You have a fantastic team at the reception. I hope you know that."
very good staff at the reception. very friendly
Confusing breakfast set up as usual. People don't know if they have to wait or take seats. Had to call waiter for coffee. Was offered toasts when I almost finished my breakfast. Room 216: needs its taps fixed as they are hard to turn on & off. The missing lid on top of tap makes it look dirty.

"Over all it was a lovely hotel, food was good and it was close to the town."
The food was good quality for both evening meal and breakfastgood chocie.Very good service and friendly staff.
We booked half board, when we checked in we were told that there was an allowance of £23 per person for evening meal and we had to put extra for the food. This should be made clear on the web site.

"seriously. I usually eat out and visit the local bars. Because of the happy hour and the better ambiance away from drunks in the town, I also stayed for dinner which was excellent."
There is now a Happy 2 hours in the bar. The prices are compareable with all bars in market square.
need a longer happy hour.

Friendly staff, excellent location for T.C. & Theatre, breakfast v.good, v.nice room although one slightly niggle, which was more of a nuisance than problem was the noise from we thought an extractor fan/air conditioner
noise from outside of either extractor fan or air conditioner couldn't find out which

"OK for a single night."
Reasonable double-aspect room. Bathroom had window. Good dinner in restaurant.
Room: more comfortable chair and beter lighting would have been good. If the fridge isn't operative it should be removed. Bar:cavernous room - tiny serving area - very little choice of drinks. Service at breakfast not good.

"warn people that the parking is a cost of £6 per day"
closeness to town, easy to drive to
there was a reception / dinner on the evening we were there but they did not inform us at check in so we went to eat in the restaurant but could not - had to go into town

"Nice place to stay. Managed to convinced 2 of my working colleagues to stay in the hotel with me and they enjoy the location and friendliness of staff."
Vey friendly receptionists. Great breakfast
Complicated use of shower/bath. Took me ages to figure out how to use it.

"I guess you get what you pay for, but at £50, I think it is too much for the quality of the hotel."
Staff friendly and competent
room noisy due to badly closing windows, windows drafty, heating not good, shower difficult to adjust, cooked breakfast greasy and not very well cooked, almost like it was microwaved.

"Size of room and window not closing would discouarge me from staying again."
Breakfast was very good. Rooms were nice but very small. Very central within city centre.
Bedroom window would not close properly, therefore room was cold and noisy. Curtain wasn't heavy enough to dim out the bright lighting of the ajacent multi storey car park.

"Ideal for a city cetre overnight."
Large, comfortable room. Breakfast fresh cooked not from a hotplate. Helpful and friendly staff.
No real ale in the bar.

"Good apart from family room!"
Good quality, clean hotel, good breakfast and facilities, local to all amenities
Quality of childrens beds, said was family room, actually a double room with two put you up beds, as they new the age of the children was 11 and 13 this was not ideal.
