Central, comfortable, accomodating
Tea and coffee facilities in room a little on the sparse side! Very expensive breakfast so we had a very nice and reasonable one in House of Fraser instead...excellent!

"Enjoyed stay: would like to have stayed longer."
Very helpful staff. Comfortable. Useful location. Useful link with health spa. Good breakfast.
Slightly poor room layout: very little space between one side of bed and furniture with tea tray.

"good stay but tinged by that one incident"
excellent food and friendly staff
the cleaner who was a little rude when i tried to use the resturant toilets at breakfast. He was cleaning and there was a sign out to warn of a wet floor so i carefully went in came out to wash my hands to be approached by him grunting at me and pointing to the door angrily he was deaf so i apologised and left but he had placed the sign outside the door with his bucket and i almost fell over them if the sign said keep out i would have used my room but the only warning was caution wet floor and i dont think he needed to be so rude

"Your hotel was a last-minute pick and the one I did not regret a single moment. Thanks a lot and please keep it up as it is."
Perfect value for the money, especially when your hotel's perfect location next door to the train station and service quality is taken into consideration.
The shower was dripping a bit after use, for some reason I couldn't close it tightly no matter how I tried. The dripping sound did not disturb me at all, since the door was closed, but anyhow this was the only "bad" thing about your hotel.

"Very enjoyable weekend. Apart from the cost of the Mini bar, can not fault the hotel in any way it was a pleasure to stay there."
Excellent location two minutes walk from Railway station and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Food in hotel is first class with a great selection for breakfast.
Mini Bar is exhorbitant

"Newly refurbished hotel.. room was very nicely decorated. art deco feel. Room had air conditioning which could be turned off but a low loud rumbling noise continued throughout the night. Didn't get a wink of sleep. Personally I would not stay there again."

"Room 430 was very poor. It was cold and the decor appeared tired. Room 401 was better although the aircon temp bore no relation to temp I selected. Heating and ventilation are core demands. Filling the mini bar daily is a basic. Not stocking it for 2 days is a good indication of lack of attention to detail and quality."
The decor in room 401 was better than room 430
1. There was no heating in room 430m it was cold.Initially when I raised it I was offered an electric fire!subsequently I was at my request moved to another room. I was then upgraded and the next room was better. 2. In room 401 I made us of the mini bar. I used it first on Tuesday. I used it on Wednesday. I could not on Thursday because at no time was it restocked with what I had used. That is very poor indeed. 3. Internet access is expensive. In most hotels I use on business it is free.

"The hotel is ideally situated for the city centre and offers good value for money. The breakfast offered a large selection of fresh tasty food, both hot and cold. Nothing bad to say."

"non smoking as above."
easy access to where we needed to be
unable to control the temperature of the room. lack of towels available. bed not very big and not as many pillows as other hotels. no smoking policy was a pain as it was not made clear when booking that it is a non smoking hotel. lack of toiletries and tea and coffee facilities compared to the marriott were poor.

STYLISH CLEAN LARGE ROOM - VERY QUIET FOR A CITY CENTRE LOCATION
NO SAFE IN ROOM

"I looked in on breakfast but did not stay -- I'd have considered paying the high price if I could get fresh-squeezed juice and an option of fresh-cooked, instead of the buffet. Instead, I opted for a lovely fresh juice and breakfast in the train station, but I'd have preferred to relax in the hotel."
very pleasant and comfortable room, well fitted out
window cannot be opened, even a crack, which would be enough to get some fresh air; air conditioning is less healthy and does not work well -- on a cool day, I had it turned to maximum + coolest temperature and room remained too warm, and airless.

"I found the members of the staff very friendly and helpful. The double room was very nice, tastefully decorated and clean. The location is very practical, it is beside the train station. You can walk to restaurants and shopping and if you want to explore farther there are plenty of public buses close by."
the hotel room, bathroom and toilet are clean. The double room is a good size with provisions for tea, coffee and a biscuit. There is a fridge and the staff are friendly and very helpful.

Very friendly staff and very efficient dining room staff.
Only 2 small lifts for such a large hotel resulted in long waits during peak times
