Reception area cold and clinical, could not get a drink in the bar before 5.00pm Staff at times curt.No car park and no special arrangements with NCP. Lighting in bedroom not good for reading

Had not got our booking which we made on the internet a week before we came, thought having to pay £50 damage deposit up front a little accessive for a one night stay then had to go and refund it the next day

Nice spacious room but we did book a superior and good strong shower.
Despite being on the 7th floor we still suffered with outside noise from the road and emergency vehicles. We would ask for a room towards the back of the hotel next time.

Chino Latinos excellent food and service. Staff all very polite and helpful.
generally long waits at reception on checking in and out. Valet parking seemed a bit disorganised when checking in. Did not get the fully benefits promised for the £15 per night upgrade to executive package.

Had a young family in the room next to us, parents did not appear to be in control and they were running up and down the corridors at inappropriate hours, this did spoil our stay a bit.

"I had stayed at this hotel before and was in a huge room, however on this occasion was in a relatively small room - they vary enormously. I would certainly request a bigger room if I were to booke again. The location is excellent."
The accomodation is pleasant although starting to show signs of age, particularly in the bathroom. The location is excellent for shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife. Parking available across the road in a secure NCP car park with the hotel paying some of the cost of that.
We did not have hot water due to some failure with a boiler, however we did get a reduction on our bill of 50%.

"Room was not clean at all dust on surfaces and marks all over the carpet there is better hotels you can stay in for less money. I have stayed in a park plaza before on the thames in london and this hotel was nowhere near that standard. The shower screen had a large cap so all water was over the floor we were lucky we didnt break our neck. One of our friend who stayed in another room their tv did not work. Did complain on checkout and will follow that up with a complaint letter asap."

"people attending stag/hen nights should be located on a floor away from normal guests.noise on the ninth floor from 2.0am /4.0am was horrendous. Breakfast food containers were empty and not refilled. Room was tiny."

Thought the room was spacious, attractive and the bed exceptionally comfortable. Very little 'corridor noise'. Valet parking was good idea, you only paid a little extra and they were prompt in returning our vehicle, also saved us the hassle of trying to figure out where the entrances to the NCP's were!
Couldn't open the windows due to traffic noise although there was air con. Also while furniture was aesthetically pleasing, in practice the chairs were damn uncomfortable to sit on. A bit of style over substance really.

"most aspects of the hotel are nice and the location is great with some extremely nice restaurant close by and the one in the hotel is great. The main drawback was the tepid shower and the odd member of staff who were rude for no reason. That just put a damper on the entire stay. I stayed in another hotel in Nottingham and, although the hotel was not as modern, the facilities were much better, the staff much more helpful and the stay was much more pleasant and better value for money. Therefore, would recommend staying elsewhere."
Room was nice, modern and clean. Hotel restaurant was realy nice and the food was delicious.
