"everything was great apart from the heating . a very relaxing place to be in and plenty room to move. "

easy to find friendly staff nothing to much trouble for them. brilliant manners to customers very helpful. good choice of food at breakfast hot and cold drinks an overall brilliand service.

rooms cold i felt heating needs to be upgraded as it was lacking sadly . even when i turned it up full i still felt cold. parking a bit of a problem. disabled parking needs to be delt with. if ten disabled cars then a problem arises

Centrally located. Many of Glasgows attractions within walking distance.

No car park although there was a large one just up the road.

"Good location, ok for one night & book well in advance to ensure value for money "

Check in was easy. Staff were helpful and sorted out our room problems while we were out for the evening. Continental breakfast was better than some hotels.

we had booked a room for three and the room was only made up for two. i had to contact reception to have the sofa bed made up and then again to supply sufficient towels for three. No parking facilities at this hotel. NCP Parking for 24 hours next to the hotel cost just £5 althought if you are trying to get a space on a Saturday this will be difficult.

"I did not have a pleasant stay at this hotel and would not use it again, what kind of hotel do you lock your door in and does someone knock and walk in at 8.30am?"

    Location

The maid wandering into the room at 8.30am, then knocking again at 9.30am, the room was freezing

Overall our stay was very good and would use express inns again.Would have liked a full english breakfast.

The only bad point i found was the traffic noise being close to the main traffic lights.

"Very nice, though I wouldn't mind a voucher for a free night to make up for our bad first night."

Great Staff. Nicely designed hotel in Corstophine Edinburgh. Best location. Excellent breakfast.

We where kept awake until 2.30am on our first night by a guest in the next room talking loudly and watching the TV at a loud volume. He couldn't shut up and droned on for hours.

"We had a very comfortable stay, and the hotel was within easy walking distance of the venue we were going to in the Fruit Market. We will definitely use the hotel again when in Glasgow. "

We were pleasantly surprised at the value for money the hotel had to offer. The room was a twin and was more than adequate for our needs, it was very clean and well decorated. Excellent bathroom, which was also very clean, with lots of little extras we didn't expect. Very good healthy breakfast too.

We were in a room opposite the lift, which was fine as the lift was very quiet. Unfortunately the flooring outside in the corridor was laminate flooring and it made the sound of footsteps very loud, especially woman with high heeled shoes! The rest of the corridor was carpeted and very quiet.

    "Would not recommend"

    Bedroom clean

No snacks/food available upon returning from concert. Staff not helpful, poor english speaking, received 2 phone calls on bedroom phone after 2am regarding a takeaway meal which was supposed to have been cancelled by reception staff as it was going to take to long to arrive. Very poor for a large hotel having no snacks/food available. A predominantly indian takeaway menu which takes approx 1 hour to arrive is not what we expected for a

Sign on the building not working, therefore difficult to find at night time. Heating was not working, were moved twice before finding us a room where heating was working. Staff not very helpful in directing to the car park, and lacked courtsey.

Clean, spacious, well presented and maintained

The recption staff had a slight attitude problem. I paid for three rooms on arrival but they would not present me with a VAT recept until the next day ... unhelpful and left a poor impression of what the staff feel about their guests

"basic, very clean but with a hostel rather than hotel feel about it. online booking was misleading and did not reflect the ages and needs of the people staying. the travel cot supplied was dangerous as the netting had a hole in it. the set up of the lighting was not logical and some lights only worked intermittently and i was told this was 'something to do with the transformers and nothing we can rectify really' the deal was good though so i felt it was a fair value for money"

    location

room size for our family needs very cramped
