"Cost of food aside, it was of a good standard and fair price"

Large clean comfortable and quietish room

Food over-expensive in hotel restaurant. Weighing machine in passage should be free - not £1 for each item weighed.

Good place to stay after return flight from Prague. I was able to continue my journey refreshed.

Hotel was adequate close to the airport which was the idea of the booking,

however the food and drink in house was extremely over priced and would not eat there in future

The hotel was convenient for the motorway.

The hotel was particularly noisy. As a lone female traveller I was surprised to be in a ground floor room - other budget hotels never put lone females on the ground floor.

Excellent service at front desk when we checked in.

I was over charged when i checked out as the details hadnt been passed to the hotel, i did however manage to get the money refunded upon sending the booking confirmation email to the hotel..

Air conditioning is realy loud

"What could be a very good hotel at a sensible price was let down by the outrageous car park charge and the disinterested attitude of some of the staff. To answer the next question: I would like to stay at this hotel again on one of my regular visits to Donington Park race circuit but I will not do so as long as there is a charge for the car park."

Comfortable, clean to the point of almost immaculate, well laid out.

"The hotel was easy to find. The facilities were clean and tidy. IT would have been useful to know that the lights only worked when the key card was entered in a special slot by the door as it took us a minute or so of trying every light switch to work this out. Arriving late at night, the check in staff told us we could have a takeaway delivered to the hotel, provided several menus and gave us cutlery and plates on which to eat it."

It was very close to East Midlands airport where we were catching an early morning flight.

there were no sheets on the kids bed and after having asked for sheets we ended up making it ourselves at nearly 12 at night

Nearness to the airport. Adequate parking facilities. Courtesy and friendliness of staff. Cleanliness of room and room facilities.

Insufficient toiletries, e.g. shampoos. Plus, soap dispensers, both by sink and in shower, were virtually empty and difficult to use.

they could not find my internet booking even with my ref number so it took a bit of time to check in, no apologies from the staff when they finally managed to retract my number.

Slightly gloomy

bar prices were a rip off would not use hotel again. room was booked for 2 adults and one older child. only 2 mugs in the room for a drink and also only 2 tea bags between 3.

It's good value, cleanliness, friendly staff and a feeling of being welcome.

The price for the room and food were a bargain.

The only thing I disliked was that the room could have been warmer as the adults in the room were cold.

Clean, comfortable everything you needed, check-in staff excellent. Transfer too and from Hotel to airport excellent.

It was clean and very comfortable. Checking in was easy and hassle free. Room was spacious and the air conditioning was great.

Close to where we were visiting over the weekend. A perfect base to stay at.

The hotel was very full and was running out of food. This is not meant to sound bad but i dont think the hotel thought that, that many people would be eating there.

We changed to Ramada 10 miles north off Holliday East Midlands airport with 25 peoples

"It was easy to find, close to lots of places, rooms a good size and shower and toilet excellent size. Food lovely and excellent bar staff."

That it was very new and that the bar and eating was very nice

The smoking area when we went back to our room we all stank of smoke and we only sat to have a drink and a meal and none of our group smoked!!!

"Staff friendly if a little quiet and difficult for an oldie to hear,but service/facilities are really cut to the bone. The breakfast continental was the bare minimum possible. Given a not exactly cheap price it was disappointing to be charged extra for parking overnight. Correction...it was really outrageous to be charged for parking given the accommodation price. In short, the Express Holiday Inn was good but overpriced for what it is. Regards MCW"

"We booked at the last minute because of snowfall and worries about getting to the airport. We were very pleased with how easy it was and were impressed with th4e vleanliness of the hotel. We would have liked the suitcase weighing machine to be working!!"
