"Excellent"

All in all- have no complaints- just what we needed as daughter is at Nottingham Uni and had to go to see her accomomdation for next year

We were late arriving 11.45pm but the receptionist - Omar? - was very welcoming and helpful. Please thank him for us. Breakfast next day was good, with a nice selection from which to help ourselves.

On Saturday morning, the lights in the hall outside the lift on the 3rd floor were not on, and my wife found this difficult as she has restricted sight and mobility.

Everything was perfect until the morning. I called reception to set up a wake up call but was not woken up until my colleague called me, so was very late! Breakfast: Although it was a Sunday we were assured breakfast would be delivered for 7am in our room. No breakfast was delivered until my colleague called reception and I had to send it back as I was very late due to wake up call not working! will not book again

Staff friendly and room clean

Had problems working kettle but Duty manager very efficient and friendly and fixed problem. Room cold. Difficult to adjust heat, either too hot or too cold. Radiator not on

Bar staff were very friendly. Everything else was ok.

Check in staff very abrupt to the point of being rude.

room was clean and functional, hotel was easy to find.

On check in we were asked if we wanted an alarm call to which we said yes and requested an 8am call. This did not happen we awoke at 8:40am needing to be at an appointment for 9am. As a result we did not have time to shower or have breakfast and we were 10 minutes late for the appointment, sadly this coloured the enjoyment of our weekend.

We expected more for the price we paid. Room was dated and traffic noisey outside. First time we stayed at Holiday Inn and unfortunately will try others next time.

late guests arriving at room at 4am. very noisy, could'nt sleep. Complained to desk. shouting, swearing continued till 6am. Nightmare!

No bad points

The king size bed is very clean and comfortable. Service is efficient and the location is very good with ample parking spaces. The decoration, though not luxurious, is new and well presented.

The room size, as an executive room, is less spacious than expected. The pub is rather noisy sometimes.

The room was lovely. The staff were friendly. Hotel looked clean.

Had to park round the back of hotel at night as car park was quite full; was a bit dark. As a single woman it was a bit scary!

Good quality room soft and hard furnishing recently refurbished.

Duvets too hot in hot weather. Inability to open window wide. Extract fan outside very noisy.

Noisy air conditioning inside the room - switched it off. Noisy ventilation fans outside the room - couldn't switch them off- made sleeping difficult. Would not want to sleep in that room again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bedroom accommodation

"I enjoyed my overnight stay in the hotel which was of a very high quality as regards comfort and food. All the staff I dealt with were friendly and professional and the service generally was very good though the check-in process was a little slow, and the bar prices seemed a bit steep. Overall though, I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others."

The bedroom was very comfortable and clean, and the food was excellent. I was impressed to be served real baked ham, rather than processed slices, in my sandwich at the bar.

Check-in was on the slow side, despite arriving at a quiet time and being the only customers at the counter. Also, I thought the prices in the bar were a bit steep although in fairness the bar food was particularly good.
