    "Good"

Great room: v comfy and spacious bed, nicely furnished, good TV. Leisure facilities looked good, but had no time to try it out.

not a great selection of bar food, and no olives left. No service staff at breakfast when I turned up for 10 mins, but food was v good.

    "Very good"

    Very friendly service

We booked in to eat at 9pm and before we had even finished our starters the waitresses had cleared the whole restaurant around us and set out breakfast, which was very off putting whilst trying to enjoy an evening meal.

"I have stayed at this hotel over the years and it just becomes better and better. The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The room was to a very high standard, well furnished, spacious etc. The breakfast and dinner were both very good. I have stayed in a lrage number of hotels this year around the country and this was undoubtedly the best."

Everything about this hotel was first class and, at the weekend rate, extremely good value for money.

"On the whole a good experience"

Clean, tidy, comfortable accommodation. Staff courteous and helpful.

On flightpath to airport. Security lights in carpark meant that curtains had to be closed all night reducing ventilation,

    "very enjoyable. "

It was highly enjoyable stay, with an excellent variety in the breakfasts, well appointed rooms with a very help-full information wallet and friendly helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel to any visiting public.

I am not able to fine any serious negative points to my stay at the western premier inn, but the checking out process was a little rushed and unclean at times.

"I would have marked the hotel higher except for the cobwebs on the inside of the window both sides, which you could tell had been there a while. We were actually staying because we had to go to a funeral, otherwise we would have mentioed it the first night. For the amount we paid for our stay, we would have expected a higher standard of cleanliness."

accomadation good facilities excellent. food also good and restaurant staff very efficient and friendly

"Our Executive double room was decorated to a very high standard. A very comfortable nights sleep was followed by an excellent breakfast served in the very attractive restaurant. We hope to return very soon!"

Excellent room, comfortable bed, large bathroom, good sized bath towels. Everywhere spotlessly clean. Excellent staff. Very good breakfast.

"Pleasant hotel with friendly staff. Swimming pool and leisure facilities clean and well equipped. Towels provided. Good car parking area and very easy to get to from the M1 motorway network. Rooms very well equipped and adquate information regarding local area and products available from the hotel. Beds comfortable and pleasant furnishings. Several lifts which can take you direct to the leisure facilities/pool. Room service excellent and clean towels daily."

very clean hotel with friendly staff, great leisure facilites,

You need to request 'face cloths' would be better if they are available in the room! Large dining tables which seat 7! Not enough small tables for breakfast.

"We were quite happy, nothing spectacular. The food was really good, and that's what really counted for us!"

Neat, everything we needed for an overnight stay, except that we booked an Executive Twin Bedded room and the room was not particularly executive just adequate, and there was only a single armchair and double bed rather than single. The food quality was superb, if a little pricey.

"Good value for money in this area - close to the M1 and East Midlands Airport. The dinner menu offers a good and varied choice - well presented and tasty. Rooms are modern and a good size with a nice bathroom. The bar is a bit small and impersonal."

    Good sizes rooms, interesting menu.

"We were really impressed. We arrived late on Christmas night but were given a drink from the bar and sandwiches and made to feel at home after a busy day. Reeds was really impressive, too, and is a major selling point for the hotel."

The room was warm, clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was fresh and bright.

Really small point was that the shower was a tap-operated one and this is a little outdated these days.

Cleanliness and comfort in the public areas

Bedroom window was warped and would not close allowing the wind to cold wind to whistle through, and nearby aircraft noise. Radiator inadequate to compensate and noisy when turned full on.

"We went to the Yew Lodge hotel with our older girls as my husband and I had enjoyed a previous stay and wanted to enjoy some relaxing family time together, with the additional use of the spa facilities. The hotel provided us with the opportunities to do just that. We find the staff welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. A great hotel."

Relaxing lounge area, light and airy bedrooms-not too cluttered with furniture and comfy beds!

"Overall, the stay would have been a relaxing and pleasant one, however, due to the lack of basic amenities such as running water for the majority of our stay, and the fact that no-one really knew what the overall situation was for the chance of a simple bath or shower,it didn't seem appropriate conduct for a four star hotel. We did receive a deduction from our bill of 25%, but had to virtually ask for it, as the gentleman behind reception didn't seem to know about the events of the weekend, even though one of the colleagues next to him had been dealing with our enquiries over the course of our stay!"

The location was convenient and central to our needs for the weekend, staff were helpful and friendly.

The lack of a fridge in the room, no chilled water to hand!

    "Most acceptable."

The building itself was very clean and well decorated, staff were friendly and helpful.

It was directly opposite a pub and there was quite a lot of noise from the locals until fairly late.

"The standard room rate at the BW Yew Lodge is more than I would ordinarily pay. I booked this stay because there was a special offer on-line that brought it into my price range. My partner and I were very impressed with the overall quality of the hotel, the attention to detail and the helpfulness of staff. I would say we received very good value for money."

Good Pool and health / fitness facilities Quick take-away coffee available for those unable to wait for breakfast A note in the bedroom offering fresh milk

My partner commented that the furniture and decor in the bedroom was very male, i.e. dark, which might be offputting for single women. I found it tasteful - enough said.
