Average hotel standard, but breakfast good with cheerful staff.

    "See above"

    food excellent staff friendly

The mattress on the bed was quite the worst I've ever come across in any situation that I have found myself in whether at home or abroad, in private accommodation or that which I have paid for. It is for this reason alone that I would not choose to stay at a Novotel hotel again. The main thing a hotel should be able to do is to provide a reasonable bed and mattress. The mattress on this occasion being about three inches thick and not providing any cushioning and support between my back and the bed base. The only saving grace of the nights stay being the provision of sofa bed which I availed myself of.

"This hotel is conveniently located near J25 of the M1 & is only a few minutes from East Midlands Airport & Donington Park. It has a good sized car park. Not the most stiking architecture but the rooms are spacious, clean & comfortable. There are not many channels, on the T.V., but Sky One & BBC News 24 are included, which provide sufficient information & entertainment."

The room was very spacious & the hotel was conveniently located near the M1. Sky One is included on the T.V.

There wasn't enough complimentary tea & coffee sachets.

Clean and simple. No fuss. No frills.

TV did not work via interactive products such as Internet, Movies. I called down to reception on the night but the charge still appeared on my bill in the monring. I was in a hurry and was held up by the manager checking if it was ok to remove the charge. The charge was removed but added 20 mins to my check out.

  • 90% Older Couple

It was clean and tidy, had tea and coffee facilities, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water and toilet separate from bathroom, which I thought was a good idea.

Bed was very close to the wall - not much room for the person on that side to get out! Basin was a little 'tired' looking.

    Clean and Tidy
