"We formed a very good opinion of the hotel"

    Clean comfortable room

If any the fact that you had to leave the building to the restaurant but only as it was snowing and very slippery.

    "OK"

Lare breakfast; late check in / check out; comfortable beds; large shower enclosure; late meal/snack availability in restaurant

non-working TV - room had to be changed. Mould/damp smell in bathroom

    "Ok."

The room was clean but lack of air conditioning made it impossible to sleep.

The hotel itself was ok, shame that the separate restaurant was overpriced and mediocre.

"Hotel gave us what we required at a reasonable price"

Secure car park. Branaghans restaurant which serves the breakfasts was excellent for both breakfast and meals

The only bad point was that one of the mattresses being a twin double was very uncomfortable possibly due for renewing

"OK for a one or two night stopover, but would not want to spend any time in the room other than for sleeping."

Bed large and comfy, shower brilliant

Only down side was milk off in complementary tea/coffee tray.

"Very pleasant. I would use the hotel again if appropriate."

Hotel was easy to find being quite close to the motorway. Room was clean and tidy and the bed was a good size, King size I guess. Restaurant was close by and food quality was good.

"I would not stay at this chain again.. this was first time & only chosen because of location to my next day business. Sorry - not good enough."

Check-in staff were friendly & efficient

The decor & standard of carpets etc was poor & looked grubby. There were noise disturbances in late evening/early hours... doors clashing, loud talking, light fittings creaking etc.

"Very pleasant and would definitely not hesitste to use the Ramada again."

Clean comfortable rooms. Staff in restaurant were very helpful and efficient

having booked online we were dismayed to find no record of our booking on arrival and the young receptionist did nothing to allay our worries. Fortunately a more experienced man helped us to get our rooms. As we were there to attend a funeral it was one worry we could have done without!

    the shower cubical

the fact that it was two single beds pushed together to make a double, the ridge down the middles of the bed was most uncomfortable all night. The room could of done with a bath to relax in after a long drive

"this is a basic no frills accommodation suitable for overnight stays and stopovers, i have no criticism of it but nothing differentiates it from any other average hotel either."

"Wouldn't use the Restaurant again, unless they change the 'cooks' Although all the serving staff were very pleasant and courteous and the dining area was clean and comfortable."

    Quiet, Comfortable, Courteous staff.

Food at Franchised Restaurant poor. Lunch- Overheated and/or microwaved - inedible. Breakfast - Sausage baked to a cinder - too hard to eat. Egg swimming in cheap oil with crusted yolk.

"Following the name of Ramada Jarvis we expected a good rate of accommodation however this stay came now where near the bench mark of good. It was our first and last visit to this newly refurbished hotel, which is in a poor state of disaray."

The staff were friendly and the breakfast very good.

Poorly laid out sanitary facilities which boardered on the unhygienic.

    Nothing to note

"Facilities a bit basic. Would have been nice to have a fridge or mini bar in the room. A towel rail is needed by the sink - if someone is in the shower, then there is no access to the towel ! Room service was good, but the food served wasn't brilliant. Small mistakes like no pepper in the pepper pot, as the stopper was missing ! That cream tea - 2 of the tiniest scones I had ever seen, and tea was not hot. The restaurant was pleasant, but drinks are expensive. Hotels usually give complimentary biscuits with the coffee making facilities.Unfortunately there weren't any. And sachets of hot chocolate would have been welcome for those that do not drink tea or coffee like my daughter."

Spacious, clean & friendly. Nice large shower cubicle.

Not keen on the sink being in the bedroom. No seperate light by each bed. Tried to access internet on TV but failed. No mirror in shower room.
