"Hotel was in a good position for our trip to Donington circuit. Good restaurants in Loughborough."
Staff friendly. Good position in Loughborough.
Horrendous noise from private party in the bar on the Saturday evening. We were at the far end of the hotel, but had to put cotton wool in our ears to try and sleep. Noise went on until early hours. Someone wedged the fire door open with a rubber wedge in the corridor upstairs. The TV remote was broken.

"we just needed somewhere to sleep drop bags off, go out all day to download festival, return last thing at night, then sleep this did achieve our requirments so we cannot complain too much but i would reccommend only for 1 night stays."

"Overall stay was good."
In town centre, easy to get to. Not too expensive. Provided all facilities needed-bed,breakfast,close to local amenities,parking etc;
No one at desk to check in at 12 o'clock-had to wait for between 5-10 minutes. Had a further 15 minute wait to get into room-still being cleaned.

Staircase narrow and steep. Room quite basic.

"An awful experience, never to be repeated. Would certainly have moved on if it hadn't been so late and I had not been so tired. Whole hotel felt grubby and dirty and I couldn't wait to leave as early as possible in the morning. Final insult was I had of course TO PAY for this!!!!! "
adequate parking
Smelly dog and dog food at reception had to step over it to check in, pregnant receptionist was inappropriately dressed with bare midriff and bare stomach, curtly told my room no. no assistance or information re. hotel was given. Bedroom grubby with filthy carpet, broken window, no curtains, blind too short, no bedside lamp, very noisy location. Food absolutely appalling and staff totally disinterested.

"Served its purpose for the weekend."
Staff was helpful and very hospitable.
Area of hotel, not best area of town.

"Hotel was reasonable"
Room was very clean and modern
Kitchen looked very dirty and untidy. Did not like the idea of a dog lying around in the hotel and dog food water looked like it had not been changed for days. When we arrived at the hotel around 7.00pm I was told that the hotel had stopped serving food, as it was late in the evening for cooking

"Booked hotel on basis of other reviews which were favourable. The positions of electrical points in the room were at odds with the layout, but other than that no complaints at all. A lot of refurbishment has been carried out by the owners to a good standard, and for two nights stay it was good value in a town which suffers from a lack of decent hotel accommodation."
conveniently placed for work and reasonably priced.
No wireless internet connection.

"As above excellent accomadation - friendly staff - please change the pillows, Thanks"
overall the Beauchief Hotel was very good value for money the rooms were clean and comfortable, we would certainely recommend the Beauchief to friends & family. The breakfast staff were very friendly and made us feel at home, nothing was too much trouble. A big thankyou to them.
Just one thing - the pillows were far too hard - I don't like the pillows to be too soft but a medium support pillow would be much better.

"Needed a bed for the night, thats all it was."
Location.
A dog running around the hotel and jumping on furniture. The dog food and water bowls on the floor next to reception. The whole hotel smelt of smoke. The furniture in the room was broken. The TV had extremely poor reception and meant it was un watchable. The tap didnt turn off properly.

The attitude and incompetance of the staff
from London United Kingdom;UK, stayed on April 18, 2007
The room was very clean and newly decorated and the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The room was a bit small - but was adequate for a single. It could have done with a bedside lamp - there was only one main light in the room with the switch by the door.
