Air conditioner did not work well. When I checked in rate was stated as 110 GBP. Paid 110 GBP first night, 147 GBP next 2 nights. The rate "quoted" when I booked on the Internet was 130 GBP which would have totaled 390 GBP vs. 404 GBP!

checking the guest robes as one of the robes in our room was broken maybe invest in larger tv's they were hard to see once sittingin bed.

The discretionary service charge added to each drink,meal etc. does give the impression it is compulsory.Better left to the client at the time.The supplements added to some choices in the restaurant seems uneccessary-why not a full a la carte menu?

"We nearly missed out on dinner at the hotel because I did not book it before we arrived. This would have been a shame because the food and ambiance were superb and greatly contributed to our enjoyment. Every mouthful was a pleasure and there was choice enough for people with restricted or particular tastes. To eat outside the hotel would have been inconvenient regarding the inclememt weather and car parking difficulties in Marlow, although there are several good pubs in neightbouring villages if you are willing to drive. The car park is a very short distance from reception so make sure you have an umbrella if you arrive in torrential rain as we did. You can drive up to the reception door not obviouly singposted but if busy, you could find it hard to maneuver the car backwards, out again. The setting is spectacular next to the weir and the service was faultless, respectful and luxurious."

The room was spacious and elegant and staff called me by name throughout my stay

The dinner was excellent but if you have a large appetite do not skip lunch

"i would expect to pay a premium in marlowe, especially with the location on the river, not been able to enjoy breakfast and having a view over the car park directly above the fans, i would probably expect to pay far less! My experience was far from interesting!"

"This was a wonderful hotel to stay at for my overnight business trip. The room was very comfortable with all that I needed and the staff excelled themselves with their professional manner. I will certainly use this hotel again if I stay in the area, although I will remember to book my table in the dining room for my evening meal in advance!"
