"A good 2 night business stay."

Newly refurbished, well kept, good breakfast, general air of efficiency put it above average for its star rating and outweighed its indifferent location. At the price booked, very good value for money.

Air-conditioning fan or similar making constant low background hum in bedroom and corridor. Why is technology so often noisy!!!

"Our stay was by far the best stay in any UK hotel. The staff were so nice and helpful. We had such a personal touch to a couple of nights stay. Nothing was too much trouble to any staff. We will be using this hotel from now on when we come up north once a month. Excellent all the way."

"The only thing that confused me was the way the invoice was set up."

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. I got to the hotel late after a very long journey and was met by a very friendly help lady.

The internet access was very slow and I was disconneted twice. Visitor than that I have no complaints.

"The receptionist Nandy was a wonderful person we have ever met.She was very helpful and ready to answer any questions we asked during our three night stay. She is jovial, very enthussiastic and open person ready to help everyone during cuase of our stay."

    Quiet, clean and tidy.

The way to the city centre is straight forward but the way back is very confusing and we beleive the management would need to bring that to the of the city council.

"On the whole I enjoyed my stay at the Milford Hotel I liked the look of the place and the resturant was very good with some rather good wine which I enjoyed on both nights of my stay also breakfast very good too. On the whole I enjoyed my stay and if I was going to be in the area again I would stay at the Milford Hotel very good 5 star."

The room was very clean and well decorated. It was also light and airy and most importantly the bed was very comfortable. The air con worked very well so this meant I had room tempreture to my liking which I have found sadly missing in most hotels. My dog was also made very welcome which is very important to me

There is only one fault I found and that was there was no chest of drawers or really no wardrobe for that matter I do like to even if I am staying any where for just one night to unpack my bag completely althou there was a rail and some shelves I sadly found these rather poor.

"Generally had a good stay, food and service was excellent , receptionist made us feel very welcome and was very helpful. The only complaint would be the segregation of all of the non-smoking rooms from the smoking . The overall costing of the rooms and food is not cheap and as a result it should reflect this ."

Good service and very friendly staff .

Expected more than a travel lodge type accommodation With non - smoking rooms mixed with Smoking rooms , corridors full of the smell of smoke .

"Generally enjoyed the stay and the staff were welcoming and efficient."

size of room and the attractive bathroom. Good sized bath very welcome as I am 6ft 4ins and it was very comfortable. Also paricularly liked the comfortable and safe, non slip rubber tiled flooring in the bathroom. and fairly unusu

Surprised there was no mini bar. Parts of the hotel and the upstairs corridors etc in particular smelled strongly of cigarette smoke which was very unpleasant. This is also surprising and disappointing given the present publicity and antipathy towards smoking and its second hand affects etc

"Good value for money. Especially appealing to lone female traveller. Receptionist was particularly pleasant and helpful. Altogether an excellent experience. Thanks!!"

The hotel was very attractive. I liked the reception area and dining room. My bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom was scrupulously clean and very attractive.

The bath towels were a little small and the provision of a shower cap would have been more useful than a shoe polisher.

"The staff were extremely friendly and always had a smile on their faces! This was billed as a dog friendly hotel - it was, evident by the behaviour of the staff. Breakfast was good - hot and plentiful coffee especially good!. Hotel convenient to the A1M."

Clean, tidy room with good facilities.

Only downside was that it was impossible to open window, but that might be for security issues, the room being on ground floor. Air conditioning was effective however.

"All I can say is that we were very content with the whole process, from booking on-line to departure."

the food and service were excellent - the room clean & attractive

Although the bathroom was absolutely beautiful we did not like the fact that there was a speaker from the TV in it. Difficult for one person to relax while the other watched SPORT!
