One critisism. My partner e-mailed on 2 seperate occasions to enquire about birthday treats you may offer or you could have accomodated for. No one ever got back to him about this. Would have been nice if something could have been arranged from him to me but all in all was a lovley stay. Thank you

"For the money it is acceptable, but could be much better. "
Clean and uncluttered. Near to transport links.
Needs modernising. Tiny TV, deposit for remote not good. Wi-fi practically unusable. Common areas painted in ridiculous colour schemes.

Cheap
Booked and paid for a standard sized double, but were put in a compact double.

"had a great couple of days, really enjoyable thanks guys, we'll be back"
staff were great, cool bar, smart decor,
wifi didn't work very well, on travelsupermarket it says the hotel has its own parking, but it doesn't, it uses a Q carpark you do get a discount but i still thought even with the discount was a bit expensive

"Mostly enjoyable."
Friendly staff, good central location, nice continental breakfast. Room generally well equiped.
Bed a little unconfortable, extractor fan in bathroom not working, very noisy on first night, but rest of stay fine. There was a street festival going on in the area, so they're forgiven.
from Whitchurch UK, stayed on July 30, 2008
"Fine - would use again if in the area."
Good central location; clean rooms; friendly and very helpful staff; nice outside eating area; good evening meal and decent wine.
Room description said it was 'compact' - very true! Noisy with late-night drinkers/people going past. But OK as I only needed it for an overnight stay.

Clean enough and reasonably well decorated. very well situated for the city and and restaraunts pubs etc. very helpful staff at breakfast

"Most enjoyable, very helpful and friendly staff. In close proximity to public transport links, both local and national. Near the shops with a wide variety of good places to eat and drink close by."
Cheerfull and helpful staff on every occassion

Only fault was that the bar staff had a poor understanding of the words room servide. We tried to order but were told they were too busy but we could collect from the bar - not exactly room service.

"I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Glasgow. It is within an easy walk of the train station, very friendly, with a funky, independant vibe. There is a lift so no need to haul luggage up & down the stairs. Having a decent restaurant next door is a bonus for dinner."
While the rooms were compact they were clean, well thought-out & the bed was very comfortable. The casual restaurant next door did quite good casual food for dinner also doubled as the breakfast room. Staff very friendly & helpful.
Windows in my room were not fully double-gazed. Had to sleep with ear-plugs for a quiet night. Staff working the breakfast shift in the cafe could do with some refresher coffee-making training!

"For a short stay I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I think for more than 2 nights I would find it a little cramped. The bed was a little short as we are both around 6ft tall. There was only one radiator in the room and we had to ask for an extra fan heater which was supplied promptly."
Excellent location and very friendly staff. Cafe bar had a wonderful European feel and the food was good.
The room was rather small with only 1 radiator.

"The hotel itself is above a small bar so be careful of booking rooms on the 1st floor on busy nights. Friendly and helpful staff. There is no hot breakfast."
In an excellent location, this hotel is basic but clean and great for an over night stay.
Lack of facilities such as cd player or even digital tv, together with a remote held together by celotape which didn't work anyway.

"Good central location with friendly staff. Could hear bar below with music - but did stay on Sunday night before bank holiday! Breakfast was limited with croissants beyond their best. But good value for location."

"The hotel is in the centre of Glasgow but off the main road. Walking distance to most attractions and eating places. The hotel itself is clean but the initial reaction coming outof the lift to go to the room was 'different'. Hallways are VERY bright in colour but I think overall added to the charecter of the place. The rooms were a bit small but everything worked and we did not have any complaints. I would book again at this hotel."
There was a relaxed atmosphere to the hotel and the staff were brill, couldnt be more helpful
The rooms were a bit small but clean.

"The room was very small and not represented from the pictures on the website - this was after an upgrade?"
It was clean and the staff were friendly
We got told on arrival that we had been upgraded - if that was an upgrade I wonder what the original room was like.

"In General a very good stay! We did now all we needed before the booking!"
The location of the hotel! Very good breakfast with real coffee! Very simple but clean room, exellent use of the limited roomspace!
Small shower with too short and broken shower curtain!

"Location fantastic within walking distance to all the shops. Buchanan Street shops are fantastic with good restaurants all around. TGI Fridays was also worth a visit but would perhaps recommend booking on a Saturday night Only approx 10 minutes to Hampden Stadium. Hotel staff ordered taxi and it arrived very quickly. A good hotel if you want to see out an about!"
Location and friendly and helpful staff
Bathroom not as clean as it could have been

"Over all a excellant hotel in a central location read reviews prior to arriving and formed the opinion we were in for a short uncomfortable stay but I was soon proved wrong Having stayed in hotels all over world this is near the top however if you want to pay 5* go ahead, this hotel would suit the traveler on a perhaps a lower budget than 5* but a bed is a bed for the night when you are tired who cares would use this hotel again."
The hotel is clean ,spacious , and bedroom is adequately furnished. I found staff very courteos at all times, the hotel is situated above a disco i believe, to be honest, i intially only heard it for 5 mins before falling asleep. Hotel is centrally located with only a short walk to nearby bars etc ,rail stations and bus terminals are close by. Would not hesitate to use again.
Only one minor problem it has no sign indicating it is a hotel i actually walked by it twice a minor detail which i believe should be rectified this is the only thing i would critise on

"Good location but this hotel was a great disappointment. Poor signage outside was the start of a poor experience. The decor was dark, trying to be trendy. The room was small with a solid brick wall for an outlook. Room 403 was between the office and a storeroom both of which were accessed regularly, i.e. every 15 minutes or so, throughout the evening with someone carrying a bunch of keys to rival Marley's ghost. At 11.45 I complained about the noise of the slamming doors and they did then try to keep the noise down. I could not recommend this hotel."
Not much at all
Claustrophobic decor and size of rooms
stayed on March 13, 2007
"I could not recommend this hotel. I didn't find it value for money in any sense and I would not stay there again. The quality of service was generally poor and the decor was bland and tawdry. It was also noisy and cramped and we would have left if it hadn't been so late when we arrived. I did not think it a good choice at all."
Not very much: the room was tiny and noisy due to the night club next door.
The night club music disturbed us until after 2am, and the clubbers were noisy leaving. The reception was disorganised and not very friendly. The room was extremely small although I had asked if we could have a reasonable sized room. The decor was almost non existant and the room felt not so much minimal as paltry and bland. You could not walk comfortably around the bed because the room was so cramped. There was no remote control for the TV and the lighting was harsh.

"Extremely friendly staff who made us very welcome. Room was nicely decorated, security was top class. Bar was fabulous, breakfast was lovely and we even got extra croissants."
Nice clean adequate room, good decor, very friendly staff.
Nothing to dislike! Oh - shower curtain was too short so the floor got wet, no bg deal for me but might be a problem for the hotel!

" A good place to stay in cental Glasgow"
Good central location, friendly helpful staff,
Potential to be noisy at the front due to bars etc, but wasn't a problem on Sunday night
