"We were a bit dissapointed as we have stayed at better 3 and 4* Hotels for less money."
The views from the bedroom were fantastic, you could see right across Bath, the centre with all the tourist attractions was a reaasonable walking distance from the Hotel. The breakfast was very good but we had to wait as all the tables were full hopefully this will be resolved when the extension is complete. The bed was very comfortable.
The room, which was on the top floor was very small, the smallest we have ever stayed in, the sloping roof made it difficult not to bang your head especially when getting in and out of bed! There was very little room to put anything, just a very small rail for hanging clothes. The room would be more suitable as a single, especially if staying for more than one night. Also, although fairly clean the room was quiet dusty in places.

"Wouldn't hesitate to book Dorian House again. Highly recommended."
Beautiful house in a beautiful city. Spotless, fantastic original features, superb breakfast.

"The hotel is good and we enjoyed our stay, I still have a feeling, in general, that British hotels are not great value for the monies charged. So this is no adverse reflection on this hotel."
The staff were excellent and the standards of cleanliness very good indeed. Breakfast also very good. Parking and access to the city, good.
The room was on the small size.

"Nice hotel, that is obviously run by people who want to do the job properly!"
Nice clean room that was well equipped and comfortable, many nice touches that seperates it from the run of the mill
No real bad points, I would have preferred a dedicated shower than one over the bath, and breakfast could have been a bit more generous. 1 skinny sausage is a tad frugal

"Really lovely relaxing stay. We will go back and recommend this hotel."
Beautiful building. Peter who checked us in was lovely. The breakfast girls were efficient and very friendly. Breakfasts were to die for. Loved the room.

"We had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly consider another visit."
High standard of interior decor. Very clean and well organised. Steff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast.
Did not enjoy the classical music played at breakfast it was a bit loud and stressful.

"I'm sure this would have been a nice hotel to stay at but was disappointed at paying for B & B but no time for breakfast due to chaos in breakfast room in the morning! No Wi-Fi meant important reports could not be sent, should not advertise as having Wi-Fi unless it works, maybe due to being top of house and far away from modem! Hotel ideally situated for reaching Bath centre."
Room clean and comfy.
Couldn't get Wi-Fi, signal too low, couldn't complete work online. Breakfast room too busy for me to be seated, asked to come back, no problem, 10 mins later, still not ready but others had been seated before me. Had to go to work no breakfast. TV lost it's signal in the morning, didn't come back.

"I have stayed in a five star hotel identical to this one in Bath and the difference between the two was parramount. The building was lovely, room nice etc but the staff lacked friendliness and customer care."
It was very clean, quiet and comfortable.
On arrival we were not told anything about Bath and its attractions. We were only shown the dining room and not the lounge. On leaving the hotel we were not asked anything about our stay or even where we might be off to next.

"We enjoyed our stay very much. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, as were all the staff. Breakfasts were scrumptious, with lovely views from the breakfast room. There was also plenty of parking space. We had a very enjoyable, relaxed stay at the Dorian and would certainly go back."

"The hotel is up a hill which would be a problem for some older people. The Hotel is very nice, although I only really experienced my room and the breakfast room. My room was quite small, and the ceiling on the window side sloped quite steeply, meaning that I had to stoop when in that part of the room. This is what solo travellers get used to putting up with. Visitorwise the room was excellent, and very quiet. Breakfast was very tasty and served efficiently. For the money, and the location, this was very good value."
Very nice Hotel. Excellent breakfast.
The ceiling near the windows sloped, which was inconvenient - I had to stoop when going to that part of the room.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our one night's stay at the hotel and on returning to Bath in the future, we wouldn't hesitate to re-visit this hotel. Our only criticism being that we felt that the tariff for bed and breakfast was slightly over-priced but not to the extent that it will put us off returning."
Very comfortable, almost like being at home. Made to feel very welcome.
Nothing, other than tariff slightly over-priced.

"We did read the reviews on this hotel before booking and we agree with most that the biggest drawback for older people is the distance from the centre of the town and the uphill slog !! However, le patron provided us with the necessary taxi numbers and this worked very well. We found the owner to be most helpful and had a good sense of humour. Overall, apart from the hard bed, we found our stay at the Dorian very pleasant."
Nice view of the garden - everything spotlessly clean
Not a lot, though the bed was hard.

"We loved the feel of staying in a house rather than a faceless hotel, as we delt with the same person everytime. The room was fantastic with a spectacular view of the city and the Royal Crescent! Will more than likely go back again."

"The Dorian House is a lovely hotel. Very warm and friendly, and a beautiful environment. Peter, who manages the place, is a great character and ensures that everything runs smoothly and that you have a great experience. We will definately stay again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Bath."

"Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to friends. It was good value for the price and a very well maintained hotel. Room was spacious and there was hotel parking."
The hotel was very clean and homey. It was located within a reasonable proximity to Bath city attractions. The room was beautiful with what appeared to be a new ensuite. Meals were very good and staff was courteous and helpful.
