"Overall a good stay. Location was great being so close to town. "

Staff were very friendly. Room was a nice size.

Mischarged us for the room. Did not have breakfast included on our reservation, even though it was clearly on my confirmation. Upgraded us to Executive but did not include access to club room. 3 single beds pushed together is not eactly what I would call comfortable. My husband is 6ft 5 and was not able to fit. Pillows were like rocks.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Location excellent. Food very good. Very satisfied

Only fault would be the air conditioning unit was not working efficiently but as it was not critical we did not report it at the time.

"Overall very good, would visit Chester again, but would try another hotel due to the parking fees.Would stay again if car parking is free for hotel residents"

Lovely hotel, very good location.Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms excellent, good amenities.

Parking fees. When you are a resident at the hotel it is appalling to have to pay

"My friend and I really enjoyed our night at the Crowne Plaza. Although we didn't use all the hotel's facilities, I would recommend this hotel to other people if a good offer arose."

The hotel was in a very central position. The room looked quite recently refurbished and had good facilities.

Paying for car parking, although the public car park down below seemed more expensive.

    "OK"

    Concierge and reception staff friendly

too many guests for the size of the restaurant, booked inclusive of DBB on first evening - worst meal I have eaten in a long time - not well cooked or served. Pay TV not weorking in room, very upset 9 year old who had been promised a 'film and pyjama evening'

"This hotel is in a good location for Chester City centre. On this occasion we had travelled by train intending to get a taxi, however on leaving the station we noticed there to be a free shuttle bus service to the city centre. We decided to try this, the drop off point was a short walk to the hotel 4 to 5 minutes, the return bus may be picked up from the same bus-stop. Check-in and out was a smooth efficient process. The room was clean and well appointed with no disturbing outside noise despite overlooking a main road. Restaurant for dinner was adequate rather than good, but no real complaint. Breakfast provided a reasonably good selection. All staff were both friendly and efficient. Overall all services were as would be expected for the price, in fact restaurant prices seemed quite reasonable for a hotel restaurant, bar prices were more in line with the premium normally paid in hotel bars. We had no negative observations."

Good central location, friendly efficient staff and overall good value.

"Good quality hotel with a few weak points."

Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped.Fittings are in a good state. The public rooms are attractive.

Food quality is not up to the room standard and service of food in the bar is slow.

"The extractor fan was not working in the bathroom. It would have been helpful to have been told that the car park was £7.50 a night when we arrived to have given us the option of parking eleswhere e.g. The holiday inn carpark is free to park and is just down the road. We would of liked to have had a few drinks in the hotel bar but at £4 for a vodka and on a tight budget that was out of the question. On a positive note it was great that breakfast on Sunday was until 11.30am and what a fantastic choice."

The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times

The window could have opened slightly more than it did. The extractor didnt work in the bathroom and you needed a degree in electronics to work out the air conditioning. I put my card in as requested but there was no booklet to explain what everything meant.

"A well sited hotel within the city walls.Finding our way via the one way system was a bit fraught but we got there in the end! The booking confirmation shows directions ONLY from the North and motorways. As we were travelling from the South M5,M6,M54 and then A41 we were on our own!"

    Everything worked as it should

As usual in UK temperature in Corridors and rooms kept too high which I find oppressive.

    Attentiveness of restaurant staff.

The deal included evening meal but about half the menu had additional costs.
