"We were totally appalled at the cleanliness, standard, staff and the whole stay. Nothing was clean, we did not sleep as the bedding was so dirty I was itching all night. The food was messy, cold and not very appertising"
Dirty rooms, dirty bedding, dirty bathroom, dirty tables, cutlery, poor food. The chef was unclean and unhygenic. Totally inadequate and what was more sorry was that my children were with me and they did not sleep.

Accommodation was serviced well on a regular basis. The staff were curtios and friendly. Being attached to a decent food pub was a great plus point.

Excellent value for money - had all facilities for a brief overnight stay. Friendly and helpful staff.

Plenty of on-site parking, Resturaunt food was OK. Site was close to the relatives.
No refrigerator in room. Poor quality TV, could do with a digital TV set with Sky TV access in the room. No internet available in the room. Could hear footsteps of people in the room above.

while having a meal in the hotel we were told by barstaff on sun nite that breakfast would be avaiable until 10am mon morning, the 5 of us came down to breakfast at 9.30 to be rudly told breakfast was finished. informed reception staff of this to be told the bar staff dont work here ? ? on leaving the hotel i noticed a large blackboard outside advertising food all day available ?

The whole package was excellent value for money.
Although breakfast starts at 8.30am, I wasn't able to give even my full English breakfast order in until about 10 to 9.00am. I was meeting family nearby at 9.00 am so I had to leave. I'd paid for a full English and and had only corn-flakes and coffee. I am NOT SEEKING REFUNDS or any of that nonsense, but I would have arranged my family start times differently if I had known that cooked breakfasts took this sort of time.

Lovely location, hotel clean tidy and well managed. Not too far from local services, bus outside - train 15 min walk, ideal for the person without a car that wants a break from it all.

"The bathroom had nasty brown grout everywhere, and black mould in the cracks of the wall tiles. it looked like one of those dodgy spanish hotels you see on watchdog. Some communal light fittings were covered in cobwebs and dead flies. Staff were barely adequate, but more like robots than people with pesonalities."
it was cheap, as I'd found a half price offer online.

Reception extremely helpful. We were doing a cycling tour and had four bikes. they gave us secure parking for our bikes which was very good. Staff were very helpful

Not really within walking distance of anywhere else so you no choice but to stay in Hotel for all meals & drinks. But this did not bother us for one night.

Staff were courteous and very helpful - especially the receptionist who booked me in. I wish I had thought to take a note of her name as she is a true credit to the hotel and made me feel genuinely welcome when I arrived.
Only minor bad points - the door-lock to my room was tempramental and made unlocking the door awkward. Also, the shower curtain was poorly fitted so the bathroom floor got very wet and slippery.

Spacious room, reasonably clean, good storage facilities. Staff were invariably cheerful and helpful.
Bed very hard and extremely lumpy Bathroom had mould over the bath and was quite smelly Quite a lot of ground floor noise from a large coach party. Breakfast was OK in size but almost cold and the quality of the produce perhaps not the best.

the room was freezing cold as the heating was not turned on. the only heating in the room was a small heater under the window. the 'hot' water was barely luke warm both out of the taps and the shower. very disappointing.

Provision of tea and coffee making facilities in the room was pleasant.
Staff were fairly uninterested and unavailable. We were asked to provide a time that we would be checking out but when it came to that time the reception was unmanned and the shutter closed. Hairdryer did not work. State of the bathroom unacceptable. Had mould all round the bath, numerous stains all over the floor and the previous occupants hair and mess had been brushed into a corner. The window area was very mouldy. The room was very cold when we first arrived.

Comfortable bed.
Bar closed at 11 even to residents even though pizzas were available to order until midnight. No lounge to sit in so once the bar was closed there was nowhere to go.
