The locks to both the outer door and the bedroom door were unbelievably difficult to operate - a deeply frustrating and humiliating experience!

hotel was fine for what my partner and i needed and it was only a 10 minute walk to the metro station .

kettle in the room took about 10 mins to boil and some of the crockery could do with being replaced

Staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast was excellent and was in front of me within 20 seconds of ordering it!!!

Breakfast.Although cereal was available we were not offered it and had we taken it our breakfast would have arrived while we were eating it, also we had butter and jam left on our plates but we were not offered any more toast. Crockery was chipped and we had no napkins.

"Hopefully the bad points will be fixed as they do have some builders fixing the roof, hopefully they will modernise the rooms with a lick a paint, new wall paper and new carpet. if they did this i feel they could attract more business people. The breakfast was lovely and good sized portions. I hate active hotels booking system. its shite it lets you assume you have paid and needs to be changed. I wont be using bedandbreafast.co.uk again, i'll just use yellow pages next time. the land lady has had this problem many times before. If you want to book you are better ringing the B&B and speaking to them. I would stay at this B&B as long as they give it a lick of paint as said before"

Good breakfast, staff are good.

I stayed in a single £25 pound room, in the room it smelt of damp and wall paper peeling from the where the celling starts. Electrics are in a shody state of affairs with and an extension being used to power the t.v and fridge. the décor is stuck in the 70's old and tired

Door to the room would not lock properly. The room itself was shabby and needed dusting. The best covers had stains on them. The shower didn't work properly.

"Great value for money, I would have no qualms about staying there again, but if you want more than a clean bed and bathroom for the night ie a bit of luxurythis may not be the place for you."

Good value for money, clean rooms although fairly austere. However for the money paid I think to expect much more would be unreasonable. The english breakfast included in the price was very good, plenty of tea or coffee and as much toast as you wanted too.

Again for the cost there were not many bad points, however in the room I had there was no side or table lights only the main room light, which meant if you read in bed you need to get up to turn off the light, similarly if you need to check the time etc during the night. Generally I was impressed by the cleansliness of the hotel with the exception of the place mats which were filthy,boiled down you probably would be able to make soup from all the old food on them!

there was a mistake in the booking date and so i had to pay for 2 nights even though i only stayed for 1. There should have been some way to offset the cost for the second night; i felt a little ripped-off for having made An honest mistake;

The light outside my room flickered on and off. The shower in she shared toilet was a bit discusting, hair everywhere etc. Also the towel holder in my room was broken.

The bathroom was newly fitted and clean

The floor of the bedroom was on a slope hence the bed was also sloping so you felt like you were sliding out of the bottom, the wall light did not work, the bathroom windows were not frosted glass, the room smelt stale not fresh.

i found the staff were very friendly.

i thought the room was dirty and wasnt very clean. as a chambermaid i know all duties in housekeeping and the importance of the room being clean for a guest arriving.

the twin room we've booked are is pretty small, and the bed are not comfortable,the linen smelled not fresh and the pillows are flat, we asked for extra pillow, and the staff just said they don't have spare pillows, what a joke ! the Full English breakfast is so so.

"Transport to the city centre was easy. It was ensuite and had everything been working in the room, a good price. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was fine, although no alternatives to the meat were offered for vegetarians and no herbal tea. Still, there was plenty to eat."

Friendly staff and easy access by bus to town centre.

No remote control for TV and light by bed not working. It was unfortunate that there was a Hen Party in the hotel the same night.

The accomodation was very decent, clean, comfortable and its good value for money.
