"Good enjoyable stay, would stay again and would recommend."

    Clean and tidy

They swiped the credit card on 3 separate occasions for security reasons. I hope they haven't charged me 3 times! Couldn't find any staff at one point.

"I ended up not staying in the Hotel at all due to the poor quality. I complained, refused to pay and left. When I had noted down all my complaints it filled nearly a whole side of A4 paper. This hotel was disgusting."

    1. No lock on inside of Hotel Room Door 2. Hotel was nothing like as advertised I was expecting a nice classy, clean, modern hotel. 3. On drive up to Hotel it looked derelict and on drive were people parked in cars! which appeared to be for ulterior motives. 4. Hotel stank of Must and Damp. 5. Firedoor in the corridor to room had smashed glass in it. 6. Walls were damaged with holes in. 7. Room itself was absolutely freezing heating was not working adequately. 8. Bathroom looked as if it had not had a clean in years. 9. Bathroom - Pipes were taped up with duct tape. Wires were exposed from these and no heating was coming through these pipes at all. 10. When I sat in bar, seat covers dirty and unlcean, when moved chair to sit down castor fell off. 11. When making my complaint and checking out no night manager so porter took statement of problems and said someone would call me. I refused to pay for the hotel room. No call has been received as yet.

"disappointed that the pool wasnt available otherwise good"

friendly staff clean room value for money

chose this hotel even though it was further from the venuewe were training at because of the pool but unfortunatly it was out of order so we had to go out of the hotel in the evening otherwise it would be very boring

"Poor, definitely wouldn't stay in 'Quality' Hotel Selby again. Looks like it should be knocked down and rebuilt rather than each room being 're-furbished'"

Waitress staff in restaurant was very pleasant. That's all I can say about the motel

Pool area was closed of, given no reason as to why until following morning. Poor breakfast, low quality food. Bad musty smell when approaching corridor, building looked like old barracks! Not inviting at all, and if I'd seen the room/hotel before booking and read the reviews on Trip Advisor, I wouldn't have reserved the room in the first place.

"Fair to good. Wouldn't have been so happy at full price!"

The rooms were good. We didn't eat in so can't comment on meals.

T.V. point broken and one light bulb not working but both were fixed as soon as reported. The outside general appearance of the hotel didn't exactly look like a 'quality hotel'! The approach road was potholed, dark and with no sign to confirm you were on the right road. Infact I turned around and went back to search again, convinced I was on route to the skip yard. Entry from the other motorway was OK, signs desperately needed on my approach road.

"Very disappointed with the restaurant. We booked this overnight stay for our friends 60th birthday. The description given on your web site stated "Dinner costs GBP 15.00 per person", we wrongly assumed this to me a Table D'hote menu. The dinner menu we were presented with was a bar menu comprising of burgers, fish and chips and a stack chicken, we would have had a better choice at a cafe. After waiting for 55 mins for our order to be fulfilled the food was to say the least poor. All of it was processed. We went down to breakfast at 9.30 a.m. to find the juice jugs empty, the grapefruit dish empty and the only thing on the hot buffet was and empty baked bean dish, a plate of grilled tomatoes and 2 sausages. We along with others had to queue like school children for the hot food to be placed on the buffet, which took approx. 15 mins. At one stage we suggested we would be better going to the nearest Little Chef."

The hotel in general was fine, the rooms were clean, the swimming pool and surrounding areas were clean as was the bar/lounge area and the restaurant.

Poor restaurant menu. Poor quality of food. Poor restaurant service. I do not expect to stay in an hotel of this standard to be given a bar menu for a restaurant meal

"Ok. Have stayed before but would probably not stay again. Spotted a premier travel inn not too far away so would probably stay there!!!"

Brian on reception was very helpful.

Booked a double room in March but was given a twin room that was disgusting. Damp walls, dirty bedding, dust everywhere, filthy windows, dirty bath. I asked to move rooms whereby some miracle a double became available. Double room was adequate but think hotel could do with an update when you consider what you get a premier travel inn.

"Good for what we needed it for - a stop over"

Good value for money and very pleasant staff.

Toilet seat was broken but staff gave us another room and fixed it. The hotel looked like an old secondary school and view looked over a concrete space.

"Reception staff poor. Room adequate for an overnighter but not suitable for someone needing to work as lighting awful near only available workspace."

Room clean. Easy reach of A1. Large car park.

No dinner menus at 17.15 so went elsewhere. Room too warm and bedding far too warm. Room lightimg inadequate even to read. Kettle unsafe. Water controls to bath fell off. Soap dispenser good for showers difficult for bath.

"We did not like the room at all and do not understand how that kind of rooms can be used in a hotel in 2009. The picture online is nothing like the room we had. We were very disappointed about this and will never come back. Allthough the receptionist did what she could to help us in this situation. I have not stayed too many nights in a hotel this year, but I do work as a housekeeper in one so I see a lot of hotelrooms every day!"

Booking online was very good, easy and quick. Everything in the room did work as it should. The room was clean. The receptionist was very helpful.

When we got to the hotel, they had overbooked and did not have a room for us. After 5 hours in a car and looking forward to enjoy time in the hotel with friends at 10pm we got pretty upset. After a while the receptionist managed to get us a twin bed room which was not what we ordered onlineand the room was tiny and old! It was damp, wet and old with the same smell. Bits were falling of the walls.

    "Good."

Check-in was great. Was very disappointed that a double room, as booked, wasn't available as it was our wedding anniversary, but the wonderful receptionist found us a room with a double bed.

The fact that a room with a double bed was booked but it wasn't available. A little slow with finding a menu in the restaurant. Not enough outside tables.

"Without being rude, given cost I was not expecting that much, but as it was the room was so uncomfortable due to the heat no one slept at all and the food was so awful that we cut our stay from two nights to one and came home early."

Booking process; desk staff very helpful.

Food utterly unbelievably bad; worst I have ever had in a hotel, and I do stay in some dodgy hotels when on business!. Room was far too hot; no means of getting extra ventilation.

"For what we paid it exceeded our expectations. Would have liked the room and pool warmer but would chance the hotel again."

Nice spacious room, spotlessly clean, new carpets, all facilities you could wish for. Comfortable king size bed.

The room was chilly but it was -4 degrees outside so the one radiator was struggling to heat the room. Swimming pool quite cold too.

"Had I have not eaten in the restaurant it wuld have been fantastic."

Receptionist was warming and very efficient.

Eating in the retaurant, both evening and breakfast, was a bad experience. For the price, the food was poor and so was the service.

"as a general review the hotel was fine for what i needed it 1 night but if i was asked for a good hotel in the area for a weeks stay or longer i'd not recommend it. "

very cheap for such a late booking. very friendly staff. easy to find with excellent access to motor way.

room was extremely basic and although not the reason for staying in a hotel, i could hardly see out of the window because they hadn't been cleaned in so long and this gave the room that same feel.

Room was clean and excellent value for money, staff are friendly.

The hotel looks like a concentration camp from the outside. Breakfast was very poor value for money, I've paid the same price in far superior hotels.

It was clean and the roomes were spacious.

There should be better supply of shampoo and shower gel. The packets are a bit tacky in this day and age.

"Apart from a general freshening up of the room decor, I really can't fault this hotel at all. We did not eat here however - 9.95 for breakfast each is rather expensive 10.95 if not booked at the time online The room rates were very good, but to pay nearly the same again for one meal is extortionate!"

Good facilities in room and friendly helpful staff on reception. Good clean working order throughout.

Room was a little tired - poor fitting windows and rather cold despite radiator working well!
