"Very average. Please ensure my comments are forwarded to the hotel"
Good cleanliness, comfortable room.
Very poor meal. Room not ready at check-in, Replacement room - heating not working, third room smaller with poor view of fire escape - cot never transfered to third room! Food very mediocre for the the price, waiter with terrible English - I had to revert to French to make ourselves understood!

"Very pleasant."
Very comfortable bed, lovely toiletries, everything about the room was very nice.
The only thing that did not work properly was the heating, even when it was turned off it came back on at a high temperature, but when i spoke to the staff it was quickly rectified. There was noise late at night from the clubs, this maybe be just the position of some rooms and there were noisy women in the room next door.

"The location was superb for exploring Leeds during both the day and night. The staff had no hesitation in recommending places to eat. The staff were courteous and very polite."
The styling of the hotel was superb, the bed was superb and the curtains kept every inch of daylight out so we had a fantastic nights sleep - very welcome with two young children at home!!!!
The room was not as large as depicted in the picture and initially appeared small, however it was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The only negative point was that there was no information about the city or local area in the room which would have been both helpful and interesting.

"The location of the hotel is excellent, in the heart of Leeds. Shops, bars & clubs are a short stroll away if you're sensitive to noise, ask for a river-view room which is nice & quiet!. The car park recommended by the hotel is just around the corner but is very expensive with hotel discount it cost us just over "
Modern, trendy & comfortable. Superb location. Fab breakfast!
Bathroom was not as clean as I would expect. Expensive parking. Expensive drinks.

"Overall the hotel was fantastic. The Bar staff and the reception staff were particularly helpful and advised on what to do and arranged local guest list entry at a club. My friends and I had a the most brilliant time at this hotel and will in future seek other hotels in the Malmaison group. ALthough there were a few very minor hiccups in the restaurant overall this hotel and the service was fantastic thank you very much!"
The Decor was fabulous! The Bar and restaurant an absolute pleasure to be in.
The Restaurant staff in the main were very attentive and professional but there was a couple of members of the waiting team that may benefit from customer service training! Our wine was forgotten at dinner and there was some confusion about what we had ordered. In the morning my husbands breakfast wasn't as requested and then had to be sent back as it was cold!

"very quick check in.room facilities excellent, even including an iron and ironing board.good selection in the mini bar.the restaurant was very good but quite expensive,as were the drinks in the bar,but this is expected in a 4 star hotel.will definatley go back.p.s.the bath fills up in about 60seconds."
the rooms were luxurious.

"There was very much right and very little wrong with our visit to Malmaison. The web page was informative and did not exaggerate standard of facilities on offer as some other hotels tend to do. There could have been a bit more on local facilities such as good restaurants but of course that is probably assisting the competition!"
The decor, music and attitude of staff all added to a relaxing and pleasant ambience.
We should have checked but having left a large tip for diner then finding out later when we checked out that a service charge had been included did not really go down to well with us.

"I went to the hotel with a friend and we shared a room for a weekend . The rooms were a decent size and were clean and fresh. I found the bed a bit hard but my friend said she had a good nights sleep so its horses for courses on that one. Staff were really nice-- front of house offered help on things like restaurant recommendations and jogging routes. It felt like they were taking time to help without being interfering--- good balance. Showers were great, complimentary toilettries were good. Easy to find the hotel which is located near to the bottom end of town so not far from the M1 and stationand it is signposted. Breakfast was really nice-- felt very healthy if you wanted to be but with a few treats here and there. Check out was easy and relaxed and was at 12-- which was appreciated as we had had a late night. We had breakfast in bed on Sunday which was delivered to our doors ready to eat when we were ready! Trying to think of something bad to say so that this doesn't sound like a fake review-- but honestly we had no cause for complaint and lots to enjoy. Top tips-- the deli across the road does fantastic food and is open quite late-- we stocked up on some olives etc as the mini bar was quite pricey there, i found something bad and we wanted a few snacks in the room. The area around the hotel is kind of desolate at night-- that part of leeds is transforming rapidly and there are lots of offices around there. We parked outside the hotel and then in a car park across the road which was in railway arches. Not the nicest place at night! But there is parking at the hotel i think. Generally i am quite fussy about hotels-- i stay in a lot for work. this one would be good for business or leisure travel. I was really impressed by the front of house staff in particular and i think that a good attitude as you go in makes all the difference. Oh and a personal thing from me as i always need one- they have a combined iron and trouser press ironing board a bit small but manageable which was useful. Finally-- they have good stereos, i took my ipod and a phono to walkman jack lead and could put my music through it-- their cd was really not to my taste! Enough geek talk."
Calm atmosphere, very friendly staff who were keen to help with everything from the room to jogging routes. We were really impressed. I have stayed at Hotel Du Vin who i believe are now all the same chain and felt that my first stay at Malmaison was generally a better experience
Can't really fault them!!!

"This hotel is lovely in atmosphere and efficiency. It is also quiet -once in your room you can not here anyone else which is unusual for a hotel, so it is perfect for a romantic get away or a relaxing weekend with friends. It is also perfectly situated for the train station and shopping -which is an absolute must do when in Leeds!"
The decor was seductive and relaxing. The staff also encouarged you to be relaxed by being friendly and efficient but not overly so.

"Should have been told about traffic and other noise. A very good hotel in every other way with the above exception. Did move rooms on the second night but if the hotel had been full this option would not have been available."
Room was very noisy due to road traffic. Unable to sleep!

"Hotel was lovely - modern, clean, quiet - possibly more of a young person's hotel. Decor was modern and tasteful. Our room was large with high ceilings and lots of natural light. I really liked that we could control the temperature of the room ourselves. We were on the 4th top floor and it was very quiet - no noise from outside, next door or corridor. Staff were great - very helpful, polite and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic - lots to choose from, and cooked breakfast was cooked to order so tasted great. Located close to centre of Leeds, so very convenient."
Great hotel - room was fab, service excellent, ambience perfect - subdued modern trendy.
Everything was great - excellent hotel.

"The one improvement that I think is vital...better directions to the hotel on the email confirmation, they were truly appalling, the facts were all there but with half the needed detail left out."
the room was very calming and very comfy, it was nice to have everything one would need in the room. The Sky Sports Channels went down extremely well with my partner. I enjoyed having a CD player & the bath ran in a bout 10 seconds.
would be nice to have biscuits with the tea making facilities. That really was the only thing, but I really had to think hard for this one!
