"apart from the above things we enjoyed our stay we are former residents of fleetwood"

due to the hot weather we could have done with air conditionioning the buses outside left thier engines running surely its against the law we asked for another room at the back but that had a fan going all night which didnt help our nihts sleep the breakfast on our last day was cold

    Large, comfortable room.

Water pressure low in shower. There was plenty of hot water however, so this wasn't a big issue.

"Wonderful hotel, all the family love to visit."

Full of charm and character, nice and quiet, beautiful views yet close enough to bigger towns.

Can't really say anything. The only bad points creaky floorscome from the hotel being the age it is, which makes it more attractive to us.

nice hotel in a quite area close to blackpool centre via a good bus and tram services.

room had a short shower curtain so when you had a shower water leaked on the floor .

"We have stayed there before and would go again because the location is important."

Staff helpful, convenient for family in fleetwood. Good live traditional music in the bar on Sunday night. Sea views excellent for watching the ferry come in.

Hotel bedrooms and bathrooms are rather tired. Windows could be drafty in winter I would think.

"Just what we wanted. We went for a couple of days to see the illuminations at Blackpool but didn't fancy staying there. The Euston did very nice bar meals and seemed to be popular with the locals. We had a pleasant tram ride to Blackpool from just outside the hotel. I wouldn't put Fleetwood down as a children friendly resort but it has a pleasant sea front. It has or rather, had a pier, it burnt down the day we left! We didn't take advantage of the night life but did notice quite a few restaurants and takeaways. We took advantage of a very large market catering for all sorts and open most days and a freeport shopping centre on the outskirts."

A large hotel of character, a shining light in the rather sad Fleetwood. All the facilities we required at the right price. There was a large wedding party on the evening, run with the minimum disruption to the other guests. We were offered a choice of room at check-in on account of the noise from the disco. there is ample parking behind the hotel, Residents lounge as well as an open to the public Bar and restaurant.

I know you should ask but why don't they tell you where things are. didn't find the car park or the residents lounge till the morning we left. This didn't particularly cause a problem but it would have been nice to know. Spent the saturday night in the bar, live music which made a change. But, were they bad!

"Stay was OK, but marred by not being able to get a decent nights sleep."

    In-house food was good.

Room furnishings were tired. Noise from the corridor and neighbouring rooms was very intrusive, especially between 1am and 3am on a weekday! Reception staff were quite blunt, and I never got a thank you out of them.

"OK, but a bit overpriced, as our room did overlook and within audible range of an extractor fan possibly from the air conditioning or kitchens. However as we have stayed at this hotel many times before this was not unexpected. Most rooms have a sea view and are very pleasant, the rooms are variable in size, this time we had a reasonably sized room with a dressing area."

Room was clean, and bathroom facilities were good, staff courteous, information available in the room was helpful.Cotton sheets on the bed!

Night porter not aware of all facilities,no one offered to help with baggage, breakfast was extreemly over priced.

"Grim example of an old fashioned English hotel where the customer comes last totally lacking in charm. I am amazed they are still in business I guess it's the " 70s nostalgia" trade that keeps them going "

One kind waitress seemed to care about service and offered not to charge for a galss of wine and coffee when I complained about the part raw steak I had just recieved.

1970's decor , poor food , indifferent staff , uncomfortable bed, very weak shower & poor food, could not even cook a steak properly

"the top floor is best if you like it quiet, as the floors are very squeaky and there is less noise from the function rooms, always book online because its cheaper, too expensive at the full price."

    the victoria bar, the location

room a bit small, beds need updating

"Plenty of parking at the rear of hotel and also on the promenade. Staff very pleasant and helpful. All the public rooms and most of the bedrooms overlook Fleetwood promenade and the Wyre estuary. Small lift, but large enough for 2 plus overnight bag. Victorian building but we had a comfortable, well decorated and warm bedroom. the hotel has several small function rooms plus ballroom[all very well appointed], two well equipped bars - which also serve snacks and meals. The next morning we enjoyed a full English breakfast [plenty of choice]before setting off for a bracing walk along the promenade."

We received a very warm welcome on a wet and windy day

nice room with good ceiling height and charicter

Shower unit was pathetic and difficult to set at reasonable temperature. I would have expected a plumbed in shower rather than a diverter on the bath unit.

"Excellent hotel maintaining Victorian and local decor and reference to Fleetwood history. Superb views from bedrooms and public rooms over Morecambe Bay and the Lake District.Restaurant service and food exceptional. Three star hotel with 4 star service. At end of the tram system and thus an excellent alternative to busy Blackpool."

    "Very good standard of accomodation."

Service from staff to suit my requirements was excellent. Convenience of transportation virtually at the door.

The sofa in the room was uncomfortable and the arm rest always fell off.

"The kettle in my room suddently expired and I was unable to obtain a cup of tea in the morning. I didnt book full breakfast that morning as I was unable to eat due to supporting a recently bereaved friend. I found out that Spinnakers didnt open until 10 am! It would be nice to at least have the facilities to obtain a hot drink............. the saga continued............. the Freeport also didnt open until 10 am including Costa Coffe so tried Mac Donalds desperation their machine had broken down! Not the fault of the hotel per se.............. but this may have happened to other travellers and something that could be easily ammended by a coffee machine being switched on somewhere! The gentleman who checked me out of the hotel on reception was charming but the arrival reception staff didnt comprehend the fact that someone new to the area, facilities and hotel would need a degree of orientation and a warm welcome! Costs absolutely nothing! The girls/staff kitchen and front of house in Spinnakers and the Bar to be commended they were fantastic and couldnt do enough to make the dining experience a good one!! They treated my recently bereaved friend with kindness and thoughtfulness."

Feather pillow request complied with. Dining room staff Spinakers and Bar very friendly and helpful.

One the first night an inconsiderate drunk guest woke me up at 1 am by banging his door shut and being excessively loud with use of TV and use of facilities. adjacent room Surly reception staff on arrival.
