"The hotel served my needs very well and I enjoyed the evening meal in the restaurant,but the long wait for breakfast was a let-down.The efficiency of the airport transportation would get me back again."
Airport pick-up excellent,as was the return to airport next day. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast service very slow as I feel not enough staff were on duty for the number of guests.When one books breakfast at 7a.m.one expects it to be served quickly, not half and hour later ! The coffee was tasteless and not atall what I'd been looking forward to drinking, but it would have taken too long to ask for a decent cup, and I doubt if that would have been any better.

Booking and reception was excellent. The breakfast was also good.Staff were friendly.
Poor changing of linen. Inadequate items for tea eg no milk was provided. No fridge for cold drinks and cold water to drink.

"It was a nice stay. We had free transportation to the train/airport. It seemed expensive, but I guess all the hotels were in England/France. I'm not use to our American dollar being so weak! We stayed in a room where the window was facing the driveway, so when people were leaving at 6:00 a.m. it woke us up. I don't imagine other rooms would be the same. "

"Nice and helpful staff, cute English house, felt like someones home! Close to the airport, but we were not disturbed by planes or by passing traffic. Very practical with restaurant and small pub in the hotel, and the food was not bad at all. The house is very close to the road with lots of traffic. Since we only stayed one night transit it didn't matter, but for a longer stay I might be bothered since we have small children 2&4."

The only plus point of this hotel for us, is its location, which is convenient for visiting relatives nearby. Fortunately there are alternatives!
The room was a small converted attic in a building separated from the main hotel by a busy road.

"We were in the annexe which was a converted house. Walls were thin and room small by comparison to other hotels used during this holiday. There was mold in the bathroom that should have been removed."

The room was clean and the attached bathroom was a good size. The room was a pleasant temperature.
There were no sheets on the bed, only a mattress cover and comforter. The television had no remote control and it was mounted in a high place. We could hear street traffic. We requested a room close to the room our children were in, but they were significantly separated from us.

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was very good. We were disappointed in the quality of our room--although it was clean and the bathroom was a good size, the comforters seemed very worn, the pillows were flat, and the beds somewhat uncomfortable.There were no sheets on the beds---just the comforters.Bedside lamps did not work but were quickly replaced by staff.The shuttle service to the airport was prompt and complimentary."

"I would like to be able to recommend the hotel, as it fulfilled many of our requirements. However, I did not find the staff particularly welcoming. They did not go the extra mile to make our stay special. When making our booking, I requested soya milk. The hotel were unable to meet this request - I was able to purchase it in the local Waitrose."
Location - near to Gatwick airport. The pick up service was good. The restaurant served dinner until 9 pm - the meal was good value for money.
The swipe key did not work on our second day -the staff did not seem to be able to correct it - the implication was that we were not using the device correctly.
