"Hotel is in an excellent position however needs to be brought up to date. No sign of the advertised licenced bar!"

The full English breakfast was excellent.

Booked in and shown to our room by a seven / eight year old. Bed not made nor cups not washed in the room the next day. Pigeons nesting on the window sill. Workman started at about 7.30 - 8 am. Hot and cold water tap covers had been altered so it appeared that we had no hot water when in fact we had ben runnung the cold tap.

    "Bearable for the night."

    Owner and waitress friendly,

No soap in bathroom for handwashing, which in present climate of swine flu etc, very bad. Button on bath taps to change from bath to shower came off in my hands.

"Great value - food good and staff were excellent. Made our 4 nights for the tennis very relaxed."

Huge room and comfortable bed. great views and a balcony.

Could do with updating. Only one of the 4 huge windows opened and it was very hot as the sun was on the room from early am to late afternoon. So kept venetians closed most of the time on 3 windows. No curtains to keep dark -ish at night.

"We had a pleasant and comfortable stay at the Atlanta Hotel. The en-suite twin room was comfortable and extremely quiet, but a little on the small side. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful and made us welcome. The breakfasts were very good, with plenty of choice. The hotel could benefit from a lift, as there are lots of stairs to negotiate."

Convenient location. Free and unrestricted street parking. Friendly service. Comfortable room. Good value for money.

Room rather small. No lift lots of stairs!!. En-suite room, but wash-basin remote from other facilities.

"in my opinion this is not a hotel more of a B&B the Bar/Dining Room was also the reception there was no lounge or comfortable chairs to sit on.if you wanted a drink from the bar or had any other enquiry you had to ring a bell for the owner to leave his living quarters and come and attend to you. There is no lift had to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get to room.THIS IS NOT STATED IN THE HOTEL DISCRIPTION i have breathing difficulties and i think the hotel discription should state that the hotel is not suitable to people with disabilities due to the stairs. my room was clean as was the bathroom. when we went down to breakfast on the first morning the waitress totally ignored us and carried on with what she was doing in the end i had to go and ask her what table should we sit at.breakfast ok bacon very tough. i think you get much better deals in the larger hotels and a lot more facilities.this was a last minute booking and was not cheap compared to the larger hotels we have stayed at."

on the seafront the sea view from room

"This hotel is unloved and uncared for. Although the rooms were clean there was wallpaper coming off the walls and the whole hotel had a shabby feel about it. My brother who stayed for one night had a room on the top floor which was in a worse condition than ours. We reported that the television was not working properly, but this was not even looked at. The only good thing about the whole hotel was the sea view."

"The hotel was ideal for us a weekend break, it is situated right on the sea front and within easy walking distance of the pier and town centre. Breakfast is served between 8.30 & 9.30 which at a weekend is a bit early would of liked a slightly later option, but the food its self was very nice, would stay there again."

It was basic but very comfortable and clean, and value for money.
