"Good"
Clean well appointed room. Very good position at airport. Would stay again.
Walkway to terminal closed due to building work at airport, but not hotels fault.

"Stayed at the sofitel for one night as a stop over before a flight to fuerteventura the next day. Hotel staff were very welcoming, the hotel and room was very clean and the room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and good facilities. Overall a very pleasant stay and I would definately choose to stay at the sofitel again."

Excellent receptionist.Bed and pillows were excellent.The cabin crew in the plane also use your hotel and we all agreed the beds and pillows were top class.Good restaurant facilities and lond hours of service and good food. The quick drop off key service was good.Being attached to the north terminal main reason I stayed, no need for a transfer.
waited too long for a lift.Room for two people with luggage was a bit small.The restaurant prices were slighty expensive however, I expected that however, people on a tighter budget might struggle.

Conveniently literally at the North Terminal of Gatwick Airport. Good four-star type accommodation. Excellent comfortable bed and certainly no sound of aircraft.

Upon arrival at 2am, the check in staff member was rude and abrupt. Not what you need after a long flight! Spoilt our overall view of hotel service.

Suggest extending range of drinks avaialble for in room service. Menu is wonderful but avaialable drinks are seriously limited - e.g extend to better scotches, gin & beer options. Thanks.

"We recommended Sofitel to business associates who chose to do the same thing this year: stay at Gatwick the night before a flight. That's a total of four new people. We will continue to recommend Sofitel Gatwick."
Close to terminal. Takes stress out of an early flight when we have been in London. We stay every year. P.S. We like the changes in the lobby. Vertical water displays are much preferred to the reflecting pool, and still tranquil.
Had to show not only room key to order drinks and food, but the key sleeve as well which was in the room. Wife made trip back to room. She was not as irritated as I was. Also, I find a $40 internet rate outrageous.

comfort, attention to detail ensuring the traveller is comfortable given most are passing through.The bed was great and the bathroom facilities.
had a meal in the french restaurant, booked for 8.30 but did not receive the first course until after 9pm. Even the time it took to rteceive a cocktail could have eased the pain.

That it was comfortable and that it suited my needs for an overnight stay.
There is nothing that I disliked about my accommodation except that I was charged 13 Pounds, 68 Pence for a 20-minute local telephone call which I found totally outrageous. During my 5-night stay at another London hotel a week earlier, I had made 14 local telephone calls and the total bill came to 25 Pounds. It's these small things that can make a traveller very angry. So whenever I'll be asked how I liked staying at the Sofitel I'll say, It was OK but they charged 14 Pounds, $28.00 for one phone call.

We are both visually impaired. The help provided by all members of staff in the hotel was exceptional. The check-in staff gave us lots of information without being asked for it.
