    "we would stay at your hotel again but keep away from the food"

    we booked & had a confirmation e.mail for a "twin room" but were given a "double room". Reception said no "doubles" were available, so we made do.

    There were problems with the plumbing syatem. The wall of the bathroom of 517 vibrated and made a loud noise when adjacent rooms used facilities. This was remedied by switching on hot water tap in bath. But the noise was a real nuisance in antisocial hours. Hotel staff were informed but did not succeed in finding a solution. We were offered a change of room

    Staff were frindly, welcoming, courteous. thoughtfulness and foresight putting us next to our relatives and setting up accomodation for our 2 children.

    "I was apprehensive about booking this hotel due to some very negative reviews on the website, but due to short notice and availabilty of other accommodation in the area, I had little choice. I was pleasantly surprised by the attitude of the staff and the accommodation. Although a little old fashioned by today's standards, the rooms and general areas were clean and well looked after, although the decor was a little tired."

    Helpful staff, meals available in the bar till 10.30.

    Entrance from the roundabout is not easy to find as it is not clearly signposted as the Ramada. The sign just says hotel entrance and the building is not easily seen from the road and it is an awkward turn off into the hotel car park.

    "Gym and pool area very small and in need of upgrading, this was not reflected in hotel advert, hotel very expensive for what you get. This Hotel is advertised as Airport Hotel but is quite a difference away, this is not reflected in the price."

    food disappointing. evening meal small portions and overpriced. breakfast disappointing, scrambled eggs cold, asked for some fresh, waited about 10mins and cook produced a runny substance which would have given us salmonella. complained at the time.

    "Unfortunately the hotel was having boiler problems so we did not have hot water to shower with in the morning, not a very pleasant experience. Visitor than that the room was clean, beds were comfortable and the staff were very nice. The location is close to Gatwick and easy to find. It was worth paying the extra fee for breakfast."

    Didn't have coffee or tea making equipment in the room and there was a 10 pound minimum charge for a pot of tea through room service.

    Clean, tidy and professional staff. Room was a decent size and comfortable. Breakfast in the restaurant was good.

    Although I did not use room service the cost of the meals seemed expensive.

    "Excellent overall, only a slight problem on checkin due to a Maestro card. Sorted out eventually but at 10pm after a 16 hour day it would've been nice if the check-in clerk had been more switched on."

    Clean and fresh room, very quiet indeed. All the facilities you need in a room, even a flatscreen television.

    "Apart from the heating/generator noise which ruined my nights sleep, the hotel was clean, had good fascilities and parking with a good gym/leisure fascility. The staff were very helpful and polite. Unfortunately never had chance to eat there but the menus looked good."

    I stayed in a top floor room in your gatwick hotel and even with the heating turned as low as it could go it was uncomfartably hot, also it sounded like some kind of generator was going all night and this made my nights sleep extremely uncomfortable.

    Only one chair and needs 2 especially if 2 or more people ordering room service then would make eating difficult.

    "Quite poor. Certainly will not stay there again. Will think twice before using any Ramada thanks to our experiences at the Gatwick Ramada Plaza. Very disappointing."

    Clean. Large room

    Aircon worked poorly. Room had an odd smell. Fire doors and entrance doors are very inconvenient to people who have baggage, who are precisely the type of people who tend to visit hotels. The hotel shuttle was highly unreliable.

    "Very clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Room quiet, with no traffic noise. Good facilities. Restaurant was full, so had to eat in the bar, but food was good. Should book a table for dinner next time. The only minus point was the charge for airport transfer - other hotels and B&Bs include that for free!"

    very modern hotel with a relaxed atmosphere,with good leisure facilities.

    after several minutes of being in the room,soon noticed that the bathroom door handle was broken.also one of the chairs in the room had dried food or something unpleasant left on the armrest.

    "I booked a double bed on line and got a a room with two singles. I also got an excuse for that. Something about too many computer inputs. The wait to check in and check out, to mail letters, anything was"

    The room was too hot and no one would fix it or give me another room. They brought me a fan. There were no facial tissues. The box was empty. The phone in the room could not be used to make international calls so I had to call the front desk to make a call.

    The fitnesss center hours are not flexible enough for an airport hotel -- where many travellers are on extreme schedules
