"i have stayed at this hotel four times before and liked it maybe it was because it was peak holiday time"

the food was good ,and the staff

the restorant was to small for the amount of people staying , the running arouund of children up to 11pm at night in the upstairs corridors, the entertainment was lousy, and the beds could do with renewing , this was the why we left early .

Good price, Friendly staff, Nice bath, facilitys good.

As my confrance was last munite I contacted the hotel at 1am on the morning on saturday to ask if their was any rooms avalable only to be told by a boy that didnt particlualy sound sure that the thught probably not, this in its self is to your own detrement, id sugest training staff to check their resevations..my booking was made on the internet. Room service- your broshure states that your pizas are freshily made, when I caled they said "we only have 2 flavors avalable they are pre packaged" the pisa was greesy and not very edble. TV- The TV in the room did not at first work, so I had to physiscly turn the TV around and locate the areial..not grait. Lamp- Lamp did not work and lamp shade was not even fixed so each time i walked past this did not work. Food - I sampled the restront food, and it was not worth the £12 that I was charged, soup was edeblae and the rest was cold, when i asked a lady why it was cold and not a huge selection she advised me that it was geting late, My restront booking was at 7 and I had arived exsacly on time, the question was asked at 5 past 7, it does not matter what time it is, as a paying customer I expect my food to be edable and hot..Desert was lovely. Drinks has a big mark up Room had no window, Hair dryer didnt work.

"Apart from the disappointing, overpriced evening meal it was a fair hotel and stay. At least the lift was working during our stay which was just as well because i had just had a plaster cast off my leg and we were on the 4th floor. We also had the excitement of an evacuation of the hotel when the fire alarm went off which was a high-light for my 2 young daughters."

The size of the family room and bathroom were excellent. The breakfast selection and service was very good. Plenty of parking spaces.

I specifically asked for a sea view and made a telephone call to secure this, willing to pay the extra £10 per night to ensure this. On arrival at the hotel we were given the key card to a room which frankly was a cupboard with a view of 2 walls and a metal fire escape. On calling the reception desk i was at first told that i couldn't have secured a sea view room and had to take what was available. The young gentleman that I spoke to used a very condescending manner and I pointed out that I had rang and was paying the extra money for the sea view and expected to be moved. I never once raised MY voice and was not rude to the gentleman, it is not my style. It DID say on a website about the hotel that I could pay the extra and get the sea view so I was not very happy that it was not provided at check in. Saying that, the room we were then given was very large and we were very pleased with it. SECONDLY the one evening meal we had in the hotel, in the Boston Dining Room, was vastly overpriced. There should have been a proper childs menu instead of just a smaller portion of the adult meal. I don't know many children who would eat a large portion of boiled new potatoes and brocolli. There should have been at least the option of chips or roast potatoes and an alternative vegetable dish. It was very disappointing and we would not eat an evening meal in the hotel again. This is a shame because we had planned to eat in so you lost 2 nights takings from just our party.

"THE HOTEL COULD HAVE BEEN REFURBISHED BETTER, ESPECIALLY THE ROOMS, STAFF NEED TO BE REVIEWED AS SOME WERE IGNORANT/RUDE. MORE CLARITY ON DISTANCE FROM BLACKPOOL WHICH ENCOURAGED ME TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF NIGHTS I STAYED AT THE HOTEL. UNFORTUNATELY, I WILL NOT BOOK INTO THE HOTEL AGAIN."

GREAT BREAKFAST & DINNER GREAT VIEWS & ACCESS TO BEACH

    1. NOT FELT WELCOME BY SOME STAFF. {ESPECIALLY BAR STAFF ON SUNDAY AT TEATIME} 2 WAS UNSATISFIED THAT IT COST ME £10 EACH WAY FROM/TO BLACKPOOL TOWN CENTRE BY TAXI {TRAM DELAYED SERVICES}, BUT CHEAPER TO PARK MY CAR IN CENTRAL BLACKPOOL! 3. WAS NOT TOLD ROOM WAS SMOKING ROOM, THERFORE, HAD TO BEAR THE SMELL OF STALE SMOKE THROUGHOUT THE STAY. 4. WAS UNABLE TO HAVE A GOOD SAFE PARKING SPACE 5. LIMITED AVAILIBILITY FOR RESERVING DINNER TABLE 6. BASIC TV CHANNELS NO SKY ETC... 7. NO ROOM SERVICE 8. EXPENSIVE VENDING MACHINES

"Very dissapointing, looks good when lit at night but that is all that is good about it. We feel it was certainly not worth the money we paid"

Friendliness of staff, but very difficult to find anything else to say which is good about the hotel at all.

The room was awful we paid extra for a sea view but could barely see out of the window for dirt and what we could see was not impressive the grounds were very untidy and the ponds were full of rubbish. The food was awful and the dining room looked very scruffy with ripped and dirty chairs. The conservatory bar was also not very good. At breakfast it was like a cattle market. The evening meal not any better as we had to take a late sitting as you have to book your evening meal time at breakfast. we arrived at lunchtime and were told we could only eat at 8 oclock as all other available times were taken we had what can only be described as left overs which were only luke warm. The whole place wants refurbishing from top to bottom, we will not be coming back here nor will we recommend it to anyone it is certainly not worthy of being a three star hotel.

"good hotel, food good in castles, would stay again if in area,"

Food was good in the castles.

Paint and wallpaper peeling off, beds a little lumpy, no remote for tv, food in boston restaraunt was not worth the extra charge.

"Overall the stay was good due to the staff been very accommodating and changed our room without hesitation its a pity the place was in such ill repair"

the staff were very friendly and helpful

The state of the place was very tired looking and bits of plaster falling off every where. The first room we where put in had very noisy plumbing running through the room to other rooms

"Excellent stay, the food was great for a set menu, lots of choice but as I said before they don't have food items required for dietry needs i.e sweeteners, low fat spreads etc...The room was very cleanwe even checked under the beds and it was spotlessThe staff were fantastic and always had a smile for everyone, most helpful when asking for extra items. We will definatley be staying again when we are next in Blackpool."

The staff were brilliant, even though the hotel did not cater for diabetic diets the chefs were willing to subsitute other meals on the menu for alternative food requirements. Nothing was too much trouble even though the hotel was packed out with coach tours.

The first room we had had a problem with the wet room Blocked drain but they moved us to a more suitable room ASAP. The lighting had either no light bulb or they were blown light bulbs, we had a family of pigeons on the roof of our room that made a bit of noise.

    Nice Breakfast

Damp smoke smelly rooms, told all hotel was smoking! Unable to eat in restaurant on the evening although I had contacted the hotel direct prior to arrival to try to reserve a table, told there was no need to reserve as we would be able to be served. When we arrived they told us they were fully booked and to go the local chip shop.

"The stay over all served it purpose"

The room that we used for the gentleman in the wheel chair we found to be very good

The swimming pool was cold to cold for the children. the faimily room was found in need of redecoration. The food could have been better on the Saturday night we found it very difficult to eat. The staff around the hotel could do with some customer service training with regards to there manners.

"Booking and reception was good , but rest of stay was awfulll, would certainly not recomend , or stay again."

Hotel staff excellent on check inn, room key not work , but issue was resolved easily and quickly.

Room bed was so uncomfy, every spring could be felt and room was noisey with no window , except for roof window which has no blind or cover to block light out, some lights and fittings not work in room. Breakfast buffet was a total nighmare ,,staff unable to cope with demand , it was total utter chaos,, we left and had breakfast from a local cafe , even though we had paid for breakfast at hotel.
