"Thoroughly enjoyable"

"Superb stay, everything you could want was in the hotel, you didn't even need to look elsewhere for entertainment, it was all there. There was also a 25% reduction on alcohloic drinks for the period of our stay and what a difference that made to our overall spend, I hope the hotel see how much more people drank because the drinks were reasonable and keep those prices fixed all the time."

The hotel was well run, nothing was too much trouble for the hotel workers, the food was excellent and the entertainment was absolutely first class

Bedroom needs redecorating, also somewhat claustrophobic due to a brick wall only a short distance from window. Bathroom on the small side, little room to turn around.

SHOWER IN ROOM VERY POOR.COULD NOT UNDERSTAND AND NEITHER COULD ALL THE OTHER GUESTS WHY THEY HAVE STOPPED WAITER SERVICE IN THE CABERET ROOM IT IS INCONVENIENT HAVING TO GO TO THE BAR AND RUDE WHEN SOMEONE IS ON STAGE TRYING TO ENTERTAIN

Staff are excellent although receptionist was busy and forgot to tell us where our room was!. Service was speedy, all staff happy and friendly. Room was shabby but extremely comfortable and clean. Very good indeed.

Stairs - which we were not warned about - were very steep and quite unsafe for those with mobility problems. Hotel looked shabby from outside, which is a pity because it gives a bad impression which is not deserved.

"we had a very good break but as we were a young couple40/24 we found the hotel full of older people with the main entertainment focussing on this--the comedian most nights was good but in between sets we had bingo sessions.we were the youngest couple there and did at times feel out of place as the entire atmosphere and entertainment was aimed at the older50 plus generation."

Very good customer service the food was excellant and the restaurant staff were excellant.heating in room not great but overall the break was fantastic

the shower wasnt very good but the room also had a bath.And the heater wasnt adequate for the room especially if you visit in winter months

No shower gel left in the sat morning, we had already used sachet each on friday night, never take our own for a 2 night stay, had to buy one

"We went with friends and everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed the stay, their were quizzes, Bingo and trips out organised by the hotel. It wasn't hard to make friends and meet new people, something for everyone. If you needed to use your car for a trip out, there was no worries about still having a car parking space when you got back. You could have drinks and refreshments from the bars throughout the day, with plenty areas to sit and relax if that's what you wanted to do. A television in every room where you could chill out after a long day getting ready for the excellent evenings entertainment, which always featured a comedian and a singer, some nights they were accompanied by the resident female dance trio."

The Viking is an adult only Hotel and therefore is exremely relaxing, the Hotel itself is excellent, the food, staff, entertainment are everything you could wish for. Car parking is another plus. If I was to single out anything it would be the food and service in the restaurant it was superb a good selection and all excellent, a close second was the entertainment in the Hotels own entertainment cabaret bar. the Bar prices were very reasonable for a Hotel. The rooms were very clean some were smaller that others but all en-suite with lifts to all floors, last but not least the Blackpool local residents used the hotel for their nights out, good recommendation indeed.

Workmen were allowed to use the Bars and Restaurant with their working clothes on, which were absolutely filthy, dirty boots and trousers covered in muck and soil, sitting on seats and chairs that others would have to sit on in their good clothes.

"If room had a bath or a shower, what floor we would be on as we were on the top floor with a very small stairway as access. Meals were not servery so choice was limited."

It was centra; to all the facilities we needed

Locality to all shops nd attractions was excellent

Our room216 was next to a water feeder/header tank so we were kept awake both nights by the sound of the tank filling and emptying with water.

Very clean and this particular room 341 was very spacious

The lift on the sea view side of the hotel does not work correctly. You can call the lift and it will arrive but on entry the lift will not move. It does not activate from the buttons inside the lift. This can be most infuriating especially when you are carrying suitcases.

NICE MODERN ROOM, LARGE PUBLIC ROOMS AND LARGE, BRIGHT DINING ROOM WITH LOVELY VIEWS

THE RECEPTION AREA COULD DO WITH UPDATING AND DECORATING, DOES NOT GIVE A VERY GOOD IMPRESSION OF THE OVERHALL HOTEL WHEN FIRST ENTERING IT
