"I would stay again as it suited our needs."
The equipment...all electrics failed including the phone. The staff were very quick in sorting out the problem. Older lady serving in the breakfast room on Saturday morning knew her job...excellent
I was charged for making a call to complain about the electrics....even though the receptionist couldn'd hear me and I had to go downstairs to make the complaint in person.

Free parking and plenty of it as well, the room was clean and had a welcome feeling, morning breakfast was excellent, check in & out was quick and the staff were pleasant. Ironing table with basic iron was available in the room.
Room service was supposed to be available until 10pm as per brochure/leaflet in the room. I rang at 9.35pm and no answer. Contacted reception to be advised that Room Service is closed. The walls in the hotel are very thin therefore can hear people coughing, sneezing etc in other rooms.

"Apart from the food, a very happy experience"
Friendly and caring staff - superb swimming pool - easy access from ring road
Food mostly indifferent - fearsome road bump, last before approaching hotel entrance

"Good except as above"
Hotel accomodation, general facilities room
V Poor handling of fire evacuation at 2.30am resulting from smoking in a guest room. Significant delay by one staff member only, to fetch guest list and start check off for estimate 200 people. No aplogy at reception next day until reason requested.

Not being able to swim in the evening as had a 14 year old with me and she wasn't aloud in. But enjoyed the facilities the next morning.

clean room, very comfortable.
lack of toiletries in the bathroom. I had booked the room for three adults but the third bed was not ready on arrival and so we had to wait to check in.

We love The Village Leeds and stay each time we visit my daughter at uni. Nice staff and good breakfast.
Unfortunately the window was screwed lmost shut so it couldn't be opened more than a crack and we love fresh air at night. It actually spoilt our experience because it was a warn night and we both slept very badly because of this.

"The payment issue was unfortunate but I was made to feel as though I was at fault, when in fact it was a mistake by the hotel when they received my booking. Visitor than that we didn't spend much time in the hotel but that was the point of the stay, it was just a base. Would stay in the hotel again but only because of price and location, not service. If I could find another hotel in the same location I'd use it instead"
Great location, good facilities and very relaxing feel to the hotel. Allowed us early check-in as room was ready
A couple, unfortunately: confusion over booking as hotel did not take full pre-payment, only for 2/3 rooms. Meant we were asked to pay on arrival for something I thought I'd already paid for. Receptionist explained process and allowed me to check credit card statement before paying, but did not apologise and was quite hostile. Breakfast was busy and the service poor: long queues to wait while more food was brought. Some of the food poorly cooked fried potatoes were hard.

"general stay was good, nice modern hotel , superswimming pool, staff polite, but only one staff on reception , 3 party of people trying to book in at same time,"
the bedroom was clean at first site BUT then when had a good look , there was dust etc hanging all around the ceiling were it meets the top of the walls , and thick dust on all of the lamp shades, last of all ,the fan did not work in the bathroom ,causeing mirrors to steam up, {mold in the future etc}

"Unfortunatley I will not be staying at the Village again. I used to stay frequently but this time with my wife we were cheesed off about the room service start time we only wanted a sandwich and a bottle of champagne and no breakfast in bed? ! Utter madness when you use a hotel for leisure!"
Staff were good, hotel was clean
Room service didnt start until 6pm?? No breakfast in bed facility, what is that about? Why do I want to get out of bed on a Sunday to have breakfast? The only breakfast service was the early starter which we could have only BEFORE 6:45am?? And it was cereal only !

"Totally enjoyed it Thank you - its the staff that put the cherry on the cake"
Excellent hotel staff made you really welcome - the facilities were first class
I am a yorkshire man myself and travel the world staying in many hotels of varying standards, 90% of them advertise and promote the local comunity and its heritage, I was dissapointed not to find a single bit of literature to support Leed and the surrounding area plus national heritage sights eg:The Royal Armouries, Harewood house etc. All this literature is free and the local tourist board will even help you maintain it. You had quite an international hotel full of people whilst I was there - if they knew what was on offer in the local area they may have stayed longer - Buisness is Buisness ---- Its mine!

"Thoroughly enjoyed it. "
The lady couldn't find our booking and explained there was a problem with people booking through Active - so we were upgraded to a king room. The staff were very friendly and extremely efficient. Breakfast - plenty of each thing and looked fresh and tasted nice.
Salingers restaurant was extremely hot whilst having breakfast. Length of walk to the room very long indeed- but fit and able so shouldn't complain.

The twin rooms! They are designed for a double bed with a light either side. However the single beds are put in under thelight so you can't sit up in bed as the light is over your head. Silly design. Beds too high from the groud

"Great."
Good standard of hotel. Didn't spend too much time as visiting a friend for one night but would stay there again.
Booking through Yell.com didn't work and the hotel did not receive the booking. I will book direct with the hotel next time.
