"Would stay again but would insist on a room away from the main road"

    Helpful checkin staff

Very noisy room. Road noise was not stopped by the secondary glazing making the room very noise. Very slow check out in the morning

Room was next to a room which housed some machinery humming all night. make sure you ask when checking in not to be next to it

    "Fine."

    Good breakfast offering.

South wing built with too many short flights of stairs + lift out of order when we stayed.

Staff were great and bar / bistro facilities were really good.

When we checked in we were allocated a double room even though our confirmation stated twin. We were then given a twin but it was a disabled room - this would have been fine but the shower head was falling off and the shower enclosure leaked. We had no time to ask for a different room as we were in a rush to go out.

"Apart from the price issue above I was very pleased with the hotel, which was also very convenient for my needs."

staff most helpful and willing, e.g., changed my room without hesitation when I complained the matress was lumpy and had springs sticking out. and when I asked person on bar duty for a salad not on the menu as i am a vegan he obliged with an excellent salad, just what I wanted.

this isn't a bad point exactly but it bothers meL i stayed for two nights 4.3.-6.3 at 38 pounds a night single room, no breakfast checked out, and wanted to a third night the following week 8.3. I was offered a price of 42 pounds. In the end after asking to speak to different people the hotel agreed to let me have the room for 38 pounds. I thought I should have received the same price as I'd paid 3 days earlier without argument.

Staff were very friendly, food was nice - if not a little expensive

The original room I was given was dirty had not been cleaned rom the previous guest, however i was swiftly moved into another room with no fuss.

"We were satisfied with our room and breakfast, it was the smokers situation that put me off."

The room was clean and comfortable as was the ensuite. The breakfast was tasty and well presented if a little greasy and the staff were attentive.

The lift wasnt working. The carpets on the stairs and corridors were stained and looked as if they could do with replacing. There was a wedding at the hotel the day we checked in and all the smokers were congregating at the entrance and blocking the doorway which was offputting when we arrived as they made no effort to move! There were cigarette butts on the ground which wasnt attractive to say the least I would have thought that a large hotel like the Ramada would have a smokers area away from the main entrance as it certainly didnt give a good impression. The only other complaint was that when we arrived we had to wait 5 minutes before someone came to the reception desk to check us in.

"Acceptable for a visit to Harewood House"

Good location and nicely appointed room.

Receptionist did not speak English as her first language and she was quite difficult to understand. The stairway was grubby.

"Will probably not use Ramada again!!!!!!!!!!1"

    None!

Told the day before the hotel was full and had been put into the Ramada Parkway Leeds. Had an upgrade to a smelly damp executive room and my colleage had been put in a room which had sick in the sink!

"Yhis was an overnight stay booked at the last minute on a bank holiday weekend and at a very good price.I feel that it was excellent value. I would have liked to be able to purchase a bar-meal. These are not available. The restaurant menu was a little too 'rich' for my digestive system so we were obliged to go out on a very cold evening into an area we did not know to find some simple food. I'm sure that your normal clientele, which I assume to include business people as well as tourists would like to have an option."

Ease of access.Pleasant reception area. pleasant light room. Very good value.

Only 1 chair between 2 people. Apparently only 1 hand and 1 bath towel between 2 people [I later found a second set on the top shelf of the wardrobe]! One of the bedside lights did not have a bulb in it.

"The room was comfortable and clean Breakfast was slightly disapointing as the juice, beans and eggs ran out, and while we were in breakfast was not topped up.Also Coffee would be better if it was self service. But we still enjoyed the evening."

    It was clean

    A bit dated and worn.

Very clean and tidy hotel, comfy beds, excellent TV, lots of hot water for a bath. Fantastic breakfast!!

Check in was professional but not very friendly, seemed to want to 'process' us as soon as possible. Wallpaper starting to come away from the walls in a number of areas of the bedroom room 133. Evening meal was pleasant but it was not clear exactly what was included in the meal eg any vegetables.

Took over 20 minutes to check in. Double glazing in room broken or just rubbish as wind howled through them noisily all night. Someone decided to move furnture around in the room above in the middle of the night. Was advised by reception room service served hot food till 11pm arrived back to hotel at 10.30 looking forward to soup and room service informed me that hot food finished at 10pm literature in room said 24 hours. Had a private telephone call put through to room but recpetion failed to hang up receiver at their end so couldn't hear. Bathroom old.

    "Overall - very impressed"

    it was excellent

There was a crack in the toilet pan room 105 I think and there were problems with the card access to the room which were resolved fairly quickly.

General Decor, the hotel looks old and tired. There where holes in the bedroom carpet, and general decor was old.

"Reception staff were helpful - restaurant staff not focused on the customer - food was good I think your tarrif is too high for room only for a hotel adjacent to the M1"

The smoking rooms were stinking of smoke and I had to request another non smoking room which was fine. You need to improve air extraction in smoking rooms

There is no need to have 5 televisions playing in the restaurant, sometimes on different channels. It looked as if the facility was there for the staff's benefit - not a customer need

"Clean and tidy hotel and friendly staff. One that I would use again when in the area."

The hotel is a reasonable standard and reasonable value for money. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are a decent size and comfortable. The hotel was clean and tidy and I would stay there again.

The bathrooms could do with a bit of an update but overall not a problem as the rooms were clean and tidy.

"This hotel is great is you are looking for a budget basic hotel. Our bedroom was generally clean but it felt grubby due to needing a bit of an update. The room was also too hot. The hotel is also smoking - and during our stay we had to walk through a very smoky reception and lounge area to our room which wasn't pleasant. The hotel is also located very near to the M1 and the A1 which was ideal for our visit. If you are looking for a 3* hotel with a bit more luxury then I wouldn't stay here. A disappointing experience after having previously stayed at great Ramada Jarvis hotels."

the hotel is ideally located close to both the m1 and the a1.

The check in lady was unnecessarily rude - although we had arranged an early check in she greeted us by saying check is not until 2 - no hello, how are you or anything! On the Friday night the hotel was smoky and very noisy as there was a function on. The rooms although clean are in need of a refurb - the bathroom is very dated and this makes it feel unclean.
