"Happily recommend it"
Excellent hotel for the price, rooms were clean, good size and had all the basics in place and right including decent size towels!

"overall as good as usual."
I have stayed at this hotel many times and have found it very hospitable. With excellent staff
The restaurant is getting poorer in both quality and more to the point quantity while the prices continue to rise. I must say however that this is now being repeated over too many of the hotels I stay at.

"would have been ok apart from the Sat, spoilt our evening, the flood could not be helped, however could have been handled a lot better"
during our stay the hotel was evacuated due to a flood & the staff did not handle to situation effectively, we were unable to access our room for a number of hours on the Sat evening & staff were unable to update guests on the situation, when we checked out next morning no apology, didn't even mention what had happened or how to complain

"Very good overall"
Excellent food, friendly staff, comfortable room.
People waiting regularly to be served at the bar or to be sat down for dinner - not a reflection of the staff who were excellent, it just seemed that there were not enough staff to cope at the busy times.

"overall ok ,will stay at hotel again if I had to.booking online was a disater, used active hoels website, booked the sunday before 5 days later when I was de to leave for the hotel the hotel had not been ntified of my booking and had no record, this would have been very frustrating if I had not phoned and turned up with a 7 month old child to be told we had no reservation made. The girl on the hotel to be fair was very helpful and apologised for the mix up."
hotel was clean, when asked for assistance this was prompt
staff seemed very much under pressure/a few seemed unhappy breakfast selection not as good as some hotels quite noisy during the night, woke up at 4.00am by someone drunk trying to get into our room. then woken again around 5 to 6 with a loud bang outside the hotel, the next morning the exit barrier was missing so pesumed had been damaged by vandals

"excellent value and very comfortable accommodation"
very clean and efficient staff...our best value during our 2 week UK vacation
the staff told us at first that we couldn't book a family room with teens, but they "made an exception", which we appreciated, but don't understand the policy since the room was more than adequate for my family.

"The receptionist on duty on Friday afternoon was very helpful and provided assistance in arranging transport to Bryan Adams Concert and assisted in making arrangements for the return journey."
Very clean, friendly staff.
The booked alarm calls for both the booked rooms were not completed.

"My stay at the hotel was fine and i didn't have any grumbles with the room. The only criticisms i can think of are the directions given to find the place. They only gave the one route into the area and as i work in Derby, but don't live there, i was coming from within Derby. I got a little bit lost before finding it, perhaps naming some retail units like sainsbury, which is next door, would have given me a bit more of a chance to find you first time. The only other grumble is the price for the cooked breakfast, it is very expensive for what it is. I have no doubt that anyone who isn't from the area would shrug and pay up for it but i know that the price asked would get me ahell of alot more to eat not a million miles from the restaurant. Visitorwise well done."
It was roomy and clean.
The shower curtain smelt damp which made the room smell a bit. Nothing that shutting the bathroom door and opening the window didn't cure.

"Clean, quiet and comfortable environment. "
Staff was very helpful with a change of my requirements.
Excessive delay with providing a vegetarian breakfast. Not table staff's fault. as they tried to chase the catering staff.
