Price. Breakfast was good. Staff at breakfast were pleasant
Generally dirty. Bed was terribly uncomfortable-springs coming through mattress. Decor in room dull and dreary, Unfriendly staff. Wake-up call not received on day of departure.

The lodge rooms not as plush as the main hotel but pretty good. Had full access to leisure club with pool, gym, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Literally 5 minute walk to cliff top, 10 mins to beach and loads of restaurants/bars inwalking distance.

"Very good. Most enjoyable weekend away."
Newly-refurbished Spa is fab. Good size pool. Great breakfast buffet. Only a very short walk from beach & shops of Bournemouth. Loads to do nearby.
Hot tub and changing rooms yet to be upgraded. Family room in the Lodge was good size, but bathroom a bit shabby.

"We booked the Connaught Lodge but were moved to the Connaught main hotel, which I think was probably better. Staff were attentive and polite, overall good value."
Great view from the balcony in our room, staff were helpfull and polite and the breakfast was excellent

Not enough power points in room. Had to unplug television to plug in kettle and found access to do this difficult.

Comfortable and warm room and bed. Nice clean and soft towels. Good breakfast in main hotel.
Shower took ages to balance the water temperature. The basin was a bit grotty - chrome worn off plug hole - didn't look clean!

Very warm & cosy room, staff very helpfull, very good car parking facilities. good to have a bath & shower. Air conditioning would be needed for summer visitors.
Breakfast was disappointing, owing to the fact that there was a long queue, and variety of food was very limited.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Good checking in and out. Great breakfast. Location was great for Bournemouth seafront and gardens. Parking on-site.

"The weekend was very good mainly due to fine sunny weather in late September.So we were out more than in the hotel.10 mins walk,beach & shops,down hill,not so easy back uphill for the less active. "
Generally,clean & tidy ,older style decor , but adequate, polite & helpful staff,& good full english breakfast. Good gym & pool facilities, but steam rooms not working properly.
Room on top floor of Connaught Lodge,with conservatory type balcony a little strange,but clean, although very small "on-suite" with low fixed shower head, but worked ok.Radiator in room did'nt work.

"Good hotell with excellent service except the restrictions on opening the outdoor pool."
Two room suit good when travelling with children. Indoor and outdoor pool was appreciated by the children. Good breakfast. Good service.
Outdoor swimming pool only open on some days. 18 years age limit on the indoor pool to swim alone.

"We had a really good two nights stay. Did not know there was a swimming pool though would have brought our swimming cossies if we had known. Staff were very pleasant and rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good and restaurant very clean and well presented. We had peaceful comfortable nights sleep both nights and would definitely stay again and recommend to friends."

"Our stay at this hotel was excellent we will definately be returning hopefully in August. Even though we were staying in a seperate building to the hotel this was not a problem. The facilities at the hotel were excellent, breakfast was very good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would reccommended this hotel or its lodgings it to freinds and family."

"I would like to have known that we would have to go outside our building to the main hotel. I was not aware that there was no reception, bar or dining room in the Connaught Lodge. I would stay at this hotel again only if this situation was rectified."
It was comfortable and clean, although the bath was very old.
We had to walk outside to get to the main reception area, bar and restaurant. As it was cold windy and raining for much of the two days this was very inconvenient. Phone calls from outside lines could not be put through to our room and the shower did not work properly for the first 24 hours Although the latter was fixed after we reported it. Also it was very hot and airless both in the rooms and in the corridors.

"THE HOTEL IS WELL SITUATED IN TOWN AND THE STAFF ARE THE PERFECT EXAMPLE FOR ANY HOTEL TO FOLLOW."
THE STAFF IN THE BAR AND RESTURANT WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, THEY MADE THE STAY VERY ENJOYABLE.
THE ANNEX FRONT DOOR RATTLED OUR ROOM WHEN IT CLOSED, THIS SPOILT OUR LAST NIGHTS SLEEP AS A PARTY WHICH DID NOT DISTURB US FINISHED AT MIDNIGHT AND THE GUESTS LEAVING CAUSED THE DOOR TO SLAM FOR ALMOST 2 HOURS.
