"The promised refurbishment doesn't extend much beyond the reception and restaurant areas. The rooms are OK but the bathroom had seen better days. The fire alarm went off three times between 7pm and 10pm - a fault in the kitchen apparently."

Good location. Reception, bar & restaurant. Staff friendly.

Bathroom a bit tatty & strangely no cold taps in sink or bath!

"Lovely room, although very hot at night. Floodlights either side of windows made room too light at night, no curtains. Noisy traffic, needs double glazing. Water from shower too cold."

Noisy traffic at Cosmopolitan, could do with double glazing

"The hotel is in a prime position for the centre of Leeds, with the shops in close vacinity as well."

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and professional.

The room was far too hot and the ceiling fan did not work correctly. The only speed setting that worked was far too slow to create a draught. The room was 101.

Very welcoming, clean and helpful staff

We could not get the radio to work on the tv and the fan looked a little dodgy

"excellent, a lovely hotel, would recommend."

The bed was extremley comfy, the room lovely and clean... very spacious, very enjoyable.

the ceiling fan wasnt working and there was a small fan to replace this... but during the night its got very uncomfortable with the heat. The price a little high to use regularly as i have friends who visit Leeds fortnightly..

"Was ok, do not know if i would stay again. A a single person most hotels rip you of!!"

Bedroom ceiling fan loose room 104. Forgeot to mention to reception

Rubbish outside bed room window. Hiar dry was pre war and dirty would not have wanted to use it. To say the hotel has just been refurbished there was little things in the bathroom that let it down.

    "Overall, I wasn't happy."

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The plastic duckies for the bath were a nice touch. The bed was very comfy.

My room was very cold and I couldn't work the heater. I feel it should have been turned on before I got there in preparation. The fittings and decor in the rooms were dated and inconsistent...for example you have a new DVD player but the hairdryer is about 30 years old!

    Excellent hotel.

Bit dissapointed that although I had read that 3 days notice were needed to cancel the fact that 2 people had to drop out on the day before the stay due to compassionate reasons that we still had to pay for that room in full

"room good but facilities weren't really good enough for the price."

    bed, shower.

restaurant shutting at 930pm. Paper didn't get delivered, continental breakfast felt a ripoff. asked for hot water for a cup of tea and was looked at like I was asking for the stars.

Rust on the radiator piping Building works and the noise they make in the morning

very comfortable bed and very good shower, both key points to get right, and they were.

although the hotel advertised a no smoking policy throughout the hotel, there were strong smells of smoke around in various parts of the hotel and could be smelt in my room, which was quite unpleasant.

"Located in central Leeds, close to secure car park, shops, night-life. Everything you need for a weekend away from the kids. Thought the bath-robe was a great idea/gimmick also...."

Hotel was easy to find, warm, comfortable, friendly & in a central location.

    Everything was great.
