"hotel was okay and for room rate was reasonable value for money. facilities worked, but were dated and tired.. it was bit like staying in a friends spare room!"

    Simple booking process online.

directions okay, but could be a little clearer, especially on parking. Once you miss it you have to round the ring road again - well you do if you don't know the area! Room was opposite the road and was noisy, and the kebab shop opposite at closing time was busy and loud!

A good budget hotel in the heart of Leeds.

Although clean, the room could have done with a lick of paint to freshen it up.

"good for what I paid but please do put more blankets on the bed over winter, I was freezing. In answer to the question below, I would stay on the provisor that more blankets were placed on bed or the heating was left on"

staff were friendly, room was nice and quiet

room was cold, insufficient bedding, out of date milk, cheap coffee. Too pricey for a continental breakfast

"For the money I paid, I didn't expect luxury, but I did expect a clean, comfortable room and a fresh breakfast. My expectations were not met. "

The room was cheap and the shower was hot

There were water marks and mould on the ceiling of my room. The bathroom floor was unclean. There was no remote control for the television. The bread rolls served a breakfast were not fresh. The net curtains in the breakfast room were unclean.

Near to shopping area. Plenty of food. Nice size room. Friendly staff. Fresh tray of tea and coffee in the morning.

Faulty bedside lamp. Smell of damp in the stairwells.

"A good but basic hotel at a fair price."

Reception/staff were very helpful and prompt.

Room furniture was a little old/worn.

the room was disgusting...mould on the shower curtain, freezing cold and the once white drapes were beige through old age...never again!

"Good stay though on this occasion I had to check into three rooms before I found one with a working TV remote control though the guy on reception was good."

    Price, location near station.

There are points I would point out as bad if this was an £80+ hotel, that it isn't, so I won't. One of the fifth floor rooms was smelly though.

"It was good once I found the place....I did not see the dining room"

The room was very clean and comfortable

The Hotel was hard to find as it still trades under the name Comfort Inn Also the entrance to the hotel is not very prominent....just a small doorway then a lift up to reception. The toilet seat in my room was unfit for purpose!

"Was good value for money and most of the staff were very pleasent."

Easy to check in and out. Couldn't hear other guests.

Noise from building work outside went on late in to night, wasn't warned when booking in. Only one tea bag.

"Overall, I give the Discovery Inn a high grade, especially for the low price and convenient location. "

The location of the hotel is very good, as it is right across the street from the Leeds railway station, and it is close to public transportation, restaurants, pubs, and the great shopping that the city has to offer. The security was good, the front desk staff was very helpful, and the room on the top floor in the corner and en-suite bathroom were very spacious.

The en-suite bathroom, although big, was a little dingy, especially the moldy shower curtain. We also did not have the continental breakfast because it was an additional charge.

"Leeds is a regular stop of mine and I would look for alternatives for accomodation at the price I paid for the Discovery I am sure I could do better"

Reception staff were fine, polite and efficient

Room was basic with shabby decor, it could have been much better just for the sake of a coat of paint and a quick smarten up.

    "Good value for money no-nonsense."

Price and location adjacent to the station are good. Pre-pay allowing simple key drop off in the morning is a good facility too.

No criticisms really - I think the price matches the service although internet access would be beneficial. I'm not a great fan of the hydraulic lift but I guess you're stuck with that.

The ability to check in early as our rooms were available, the ability to leave our bags at reception until our train departed.

    "Very pleasant."

Reasonably priced, well situated for the City Centre/Station

There was some damage to our room on arrival - however this was quickly dealt with by the reception staff. Only one bath towel and one hand towel in a twin room.

"very relaxing and ready for next day's conference."

Room is large and comfortable, very clean and relaxing. Lots of eatries directly opposite and around, very close to the train and other transports.

    Lift is very unreliable.

"This hotel in my opinion really needs a refurbishment to bring up to standard for a city centre hotel. I would not use this hotel again unless I really had no choice."

Cheap, centrally located within walking distance to central areas. Discount for car parking.

Lift from ground floor to reception very slow. Carpets in hotel passages dated and did not seem clean. In the room the furniture, floor and facilities were all very dated. The carpet was especially very dated and did not appear clean. We were not comfortable at all with the room appearing unhygienic to us. Though the rooms are non-smoking it seemed that we had a smoking room, probably due to the above comments.

"Adequate for a one night stay."

The bathroom was in poor condition and had mould on the ceiling. The bathroom had a smell of mould and damp.
