"good"

"Your service works, the rooms are more than what is required. My main critisism is the breakfast. I think that this should incorporate more healthy food."
Good room, clean. More than spacious enough. Nothing missing.
Plastic covers on mattress, under sheets. Breakfast is not up to standard for a norwegian stomach we are used to less fat, less sugar, less plain flour. The restaurants close by could have been more interesting this is more a problem with location than anything else

It was fine. No frills but clean and staff polite. I had no problems and would be quite happy to use hotel again.
The only comment that I would make was regarding the shower - didn't drain very well but this is only a minor point.

"When booking the hotel I asked for details of dog friendly Hotels of which yours was one. When my son-inlaw visited your hotel before our stay it was stated that you were fazing out this option, which is a shame as our dog is unwell we cannot put her in kennels. On leaving the hotel I was informed by the receptionist that you do not allow dogs anymore, however it is in your litature that is in each of the rooms."
The rooms were neat and tidy and the en-suite was lovely infact I wanted to take it home.
Not enough milk for the tea and coffee.

"This was an excellent hotel for a cheap break away from home. The quality of the accomodation and service was much better than other 'cheaper' hotels that we have stayed in."
The room was well equipped with good facilities. We were accomodated on a non-smoking floor in line with our request. The service was friendly, helpful and polite.
Nothing really - it met our needs very well and was reasonable in price. Our only complaint which was quickly sorted out was that there was only two tea bags in the room!

"This hotel was in good decorative order, the rooms were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and well serviced with shower gel/shampoo etc. The breakfast was fine-continental self service style. The hotel was easy to get to and good for us as we were staying there the night before going to the Moto GP at Donington Park."
Close to other amenities- an Old Orleans restaurant/bar & a Harvester restaurant just across the road, easy to find the hotel, close to other venues/locations of interest.
The room was extremely hot, making it difficult to sleep. No air conditioning but only an electric fan which did not really ease the problem.

from Willingdon United Kingdom;UK, stayed on August 24, 2005
The total lack of a cooked breakfast made it a very poor start to my morning. I had nearly 300 miles to drive that day and I had to stop soon after leaving the hotel for an english breakfast. Very poor only to offer a contnental breakfast in an english hotel....

"For one night stay it's ok. In my opinion the Holiday Inn Express is suitable for one night stay or business trip only. No pretty views, no meals available except breakfast which is continental self service."
comfortable room, hotel open 24 hours, good breakfast, ample parking.

"Very good for this class of hotel. Best I've stayed in at this price in Derby."
Had a vibrating pillow fire alarm for deaf guests whaich had been tested. Reception offered a demonstration if needed. Nice!
The breakfast orange juice....seemed watered down and flavourless. One small thing that was a significant disappointment. And it would have been good to access more free TV channels

"The hotel was fine you get what you pay for. For food at night you have to go out as the hotel only provides breakfast, this is not a problem however as places to eat are accross the road. No complaints about the hotel. The one issue I did have however was after I had booked & was waiting in a confirmation to be Emailed to me from your partner site. I am still waiting, I ended up phoning the hotel direct to confirm my stay. This should not have happened when you consider that I sent two Emails requesting confirmation be sent to me This needs to be sorted out, I know once I book a hotel the next time I want to think about it is when I am on my way. This was the first time I had used your service and all in all things went OK but pay more attention to the little things."
Closeness to Derby Centre / Rail Station Etc. & most importantly it was clean
Nothing really I got what I expected & that in its self is a bonus

"The hotel was clean and efficient, ideal a for a short stay, staff were friendly and accommodatimg. The only set back was the space for breakfast on Sunday morning when the hotel was completely full"
from Sandhurst United Kingdom stayed on September 22, 2004
"Generally very pleasant stay. The rooms were well designed for short stay. On-line site gave me all I needed to know. Pleased to see plenty of parking spaces available when I arrived and it was close to a restaurant so we could easily get a meal."
Comfortable bed and pillows. Reasonably quiet area so I could sleep with the window open
It would have been nice to have a choice of fresh fruit at breakfast.

"Very good i would recommend it to friends and will stay here again. "
Great value for money, good breakfast, good proviison of complimentary facilities i.e. an iron!
Nobody got back to me about the possibility of an early check in or extra bed after I left a request on the online booking form.
