"Would stay again. Was worried it might be noisy due to the nightclub and bar but it wasnt. the bar is good place to come back to after a night out to relax and unwind before bed."

Clean, functional rooms. Friendly staff. Good bar and ideal location for Manchester night out.

"Not good considering we paid good money ..."

Good staff, well mannered, and very helpful.

Too much noise from next door Thin Walls. Outside banging of bins early sunday morning, enought to wake us up.

    Good area

Most of it. I booked a suite and all I got was a room with just bit more space and just two extra chairs. There was no sofa either. I requested to change the room but they said that all the rooms were the same.

"Excellent service, would happily use this hotel again."

Staff were helpful, room was fit for purpose. The baggage check after check out was extremely helpful. While their was a broken light in the room, within minutes of checking in an electrician turned up to repair it. Great location.

Helpful staff, clean rooms. Very nice breakfast. Good location. Kettle with tea and coffee was enjoyed.

2 out of 3 lamps didn't work/have bulbs in them. Didn't like being moved hotels and only bring told on the day. There was some event on in the hotel that meant music could be heard on the 3rd floor, although it did end at a reasonable time so wasn't too bothered.

"Probably the worst hotel I've stayed in. Got bumped from the one I booked Britannia Manchester to the sister hotel Sachas so wasn't happy at outset but room was very poor indeed, scruffy, cold and run down. Facilities very cheap, every expense spared!"

"Great hotel that I would use again and recommend to friends."

Great location. Friendly Staff. Plenty of on-site facilities. Clean hotel with loads of history.

No on-ste parking but nearest secure car park only 5 minutes walk away.

"Pleasant stay apart from above remarks."

Pleasant staff. The hall is extremely impressive.

Lifts very often out of order and must be some of the slowest lifts known to man. I have stayed in this hotel twice a year for the past few years but have never been able to spend a week without being obliged to get up at some point during the night and often more than once for a false fire alarm. Is there no solution to this problem?

"My room was clean though it was an attic because the price was low. However, there was not a refrigerator either. "

This hotel was a cheap, clean room to my desire.

The bathroom smelled and it smelled unpleasant for a moment. The temperature adjustment of the shower did not go well.

Very central location & helpful, polite staff. I was upgraded from a standard single to a really good sized double room with a bath rather than a cleans capsule type shower quite a luxury these days!. Spectacular stairwell and restaurant open after 9pm. It hasn't had brilliant reviews I realise but for £43 it represented excellent value and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

"The hotel was close to the station, staff friendly the only disappointment was the room as it was suppose to be an executive room, my sister's room was very small and definitely not an executive room. We did receive free bottle of wine."

Very friendly staff, and good restaurant and bar facilities

Although we had a smoking room there was no ashtray, no batteries in remote control, window did not open wide enough to let air circulate.

"Very pleased with facilities and staff."

Big bed, close to hotel's fitness suite, quiet, excellent location downtown.

No porridge at breakfast, nothing worth watching on television not necessarily your fault, and we were given a room that smelt of cigarette smoke.

    "Not enjoyable"

Check process was very laborious. We two parties, one single one double roomarrived at about 3am and the check in guy seemed pretty confused. Breakfast was not good. Fried eggs were solid, even when a new batch was supplied. Coffee was almost undrinkable.

    "delighted with it"

Very impressed with the elegance of the stairwell. In fact even though i was on the 5th floor i rarely used the lift !

I think those greedy b's at NCP should offer hotels nearby much better rates. I walked 15 mins and parked free !

Breakfast was too expensive: price was good if you wanted to gorge but not if you simply wanted a "continental" type breakfast.

"Was a brilliant hotel in a brillint location for the gay village and also main shopping area of the city. Both were within 2 minutes of the front door of the hotel. This hotel helped to make our holiday brilliant. Thank you."

Excellent staff in the hotel. The public areas of the hotel were absolutely outstanding and they blew us away. Bedrooms were less breathtaking but were fine. Clean with a very comfy bed. Everything you could need. Will DEFINITELY stay here again.

"I would use the hotel again as the staff were all very friendly"

Nice old, fashioned style combined with modern bar facilities in the two public bars. Room was quiet as requested and light

The room was a little small and the furniture did not match. Quite cluttered really

The hotel is in the middle of all amenities, pubs, clubs and is a 10 minute work from the train station. Staff are very friendly. I have used this hotel twice. The room was very clean, had an hairdryer which was in working order.

The only bad point is that the room did not have a window but a skylight, we must have been in the gods! but it still made the room light and airy though!.
